Creationist Ken Ham Says Aliens Will Go To Hell So Let's Stop Looking For Them

Creationist Ken Ham, who recently debated Bill Nye the Science Guy over the origins of the universe, is calling for an end to the search for extraterrestrial life because aliens probably don't exist -- and if they do, they're going to Hell anyway.

"You see, the Bible makes it clear that Adam’s sin affected the whole universe," Ham wrote on his blog on Sunday. "This means that any aliens would also be affected by Adam’s sin, but because they are not Adam’s descendants, they can’t have salvation."

The post was driven in part by NASA experts saying that they expect to find evidence of alien life within the next 20 years.

"It's highly improbable in the limitless vastness of the universe that we humans stand alone," NASA administrator Charles Bolden said last week.

But Ham, president and CEO of Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Ky., said we probably are alone. He wrote "earth was specially created," and the entire hunt for extraterrestrials is "really driven by man’s rebellion against God in a desperate attempt to supposedly prove evolution!"

If aliens do exist, however, Ham said even Jesus can't save them

I figured we could all appreciate some humor this morning (even though this guy seems serious)

I agree completely, with only one small caveat. We should stop looking for them if we have assurance that they have stopped looking for us.

Wait- I thought that animals didn't go to hell, because their species didn't do anything (and/or no "souls" ). If cows are going to hell, I am going to have to buddy up with Luci. Because that is going to be one hell of a barbeque!

Bahahahahahahaha... He's a ****ing alien calvanist? As in, he honestly believes that an omnipotent, "merciful" god, created a universe with other life then doomed all of them to eternal hellfire because someone on another planet ate an apple.

What kind of a sick, hateful person do you have to be to believe something like that?

This is exactly the kind of person I want to spend eternity with.

How would Aliens "prove" evolution? Surely he is kidding.

Has the internet increased the number of crazy people or just made them more visible?

You were right. That delivered.

Somewhat in his defense though it's kind of a twist on his words that he doesn't believe in aliens anyway.

Now, here is what I actually wrote in response to an article that claimed aliens would be found somewhere else in the universe within 20 years:

The Bible, in sharp contrast to the secular worldview, teaches that earth was specially created, that it is unique and the focus of God’s attention (Isaiah 66:1 and Psalm 115:16). Life did not evolve but was specially created by God, as Genesis clearly teaches. Christians certainly shouldn’t expect alien life to be cropping up across the universe

Now the Bible doesn’t say whether there is or is not animal or plant life in outer space. I certainly suspect not. The Earth was created for human life. And the sun and moon were created for signs and our seasons—and to declare the glory of God.

And I do believe there can’t be other intelligent beings in outer space because of the meaning of the gospel. You see, the Bible makes it clear that Adam’s sin affected the whole universe. This means that any aliens would also be affected by Adam’s sin, but because they are not Adam’s descendants, they can’t have salvation. One day, the whole universe will be judged by fire, and there will be a new heavens and earth. God’s Son stepped into history to be Jesus Christ, the “Godman,” to be our relative, and to be the perfect sacrifice for sin—the Savior of mankind.

What if the aliens are also christians. I mean, what if they have the exact same Bible only in their language and pray to the same God as we do.

That would be something that would be what we call proof of God. But I don't think they could come close to having the same Bible.........since of course there are place specific. But I get your understanding.

Well, they couldn't be. Even Jesus can't save them, remember.

Strange that an omnipotent God can't help them...speaking as a person who believes in God, I would think that He would be capable of saving them too.

Yeah, the mustard seed parable would probably be lost on them...

No they would be the Moonans, churh of off world saints.

If that were the case, it would be written in the bible wouldn't it?

Ham is such a joke. He fears finding alien life, because then he would have to think of a way to explain it in the context of Creation Museum and he is already running out of ways to refute evolution.

Ken Ham is about three french fries shy of a Happy Meal.

The terrifying thing is how often in our history this kind of nonsense actually has halted scientific advancement. Most recently it was stem cell research. In ages past it was almost the whole of medical study. This is the same nonsense that they used to lock up Galileo.

I don't even think there's sick and hateful involved. I think it just takes being really really dumb.

I think you have it backwards he only has 3 French fries in his happy meal.

Oh, he's such a ham!

While the rest of us ponder the possibility of alien life, Kenny, for the first time ever, isn't waving his Bible at scientists saying, "you know, there is a book that already has the answer to that question."

Translated, Christians are the morons that their cousins are!
I know many Christians who are quite intelligent. For me this is more about the silly positions literalists can find themselves in.

I separate secular intelligence from, moronic religion, all of it. I too know Christians who's intelligence is hung on the hook in the hall before the sanctuary.
