Reid: Southern border is secure

Yes I see that, but Reid has a very narrow view of things. I don't think he cares about national companies, as they are the enemy of his side, but he needs to get re-elected and the casinos pay his bills.

I have been to his home town and I know people there. They are such nice down to earth people, I don't see how they created this piece of crap.

Those casinos are small business to you? As to the nice down to earth people, many said the same thing when Bush was elected, twice. And, many said the same thing when Obama was elected, twice.

I am not sure what you are talking about here.

Searchlight Nevada is one of those places that you pass on the way to somewhere else. There are very few people there and the ones that I have met are very nice.

How does that tie into Bush or Obama? Who thinks people in Chicago are nice or down to earth?

Sorry if it was poorly stated. The character of the citizens of Searchlight nor Chicago were in question. Your statement/question, paraphrased, how could such nice people elect such a pos, was asked by many when Bush, and again When Obama was elected. Meaning there will always be people who think Joe politician is a piece of crap, and there will always be people who don't. And them being nice or not has nothing to do with it.

Why? Not many Papists on the right. That's a dem left thing.

I'm going to have to disagree; I know plenty of conservative Catholics and a few liberal ones.

And this folks, is why Americas falls, the people elect lesser men to lead them.

I'm not shocked to hear Reid doubling down on the dishonesty that came out of the WH. The evidence is overwhelming that our borders are not secure when number of children have increased in the last several months by the thousands.

At least Reid was honest about about wanting to change the subject..........give us money.

What I meant was how could a piece of **** like Reid come from a place with such nice people.

Isn't the better question...How many conservatives believe the border can be secured? It is conservatives always saying "No action on CIR until the border is secure". Evidently they do.

You still don't quite understand how operation WB worked do you? Here let me give you a simple analogy. Take a church congergation...Load them all onto the bus...drive them to a picnic. After the picnic...load them all onto the bus and drive them back to the church.

Is it any clearer now?

Is the border secure?

Reid is wrong to oppose out-of-hand the bi-partisan bi-cameral bill not quite on the table yet.
Reid is defensive for good and bad reasons--just as GOPs are offensive for good and bad reasons.

America falls and fails because of the over-reactions of the kind of people in this thread and their phony poutrage, just for starters.
Never a voice of reason or a solution from you people--just sarcastic moronic nonsense .

Pot calling kettle black.

Aha! In that case, disregard all I said on it.

No, it's not. And don't think it was all closed up tight, and that Bush left the key on the desk for Obama. It's amazing that this keeps alluding people, but the border has NEVER been secure!

I have stated from the beginning that our borders are not secure, never have been secure, and won't be secure going forward. Neither party has the balls to oppose big business and secure our borders. Does that make me on the left Apache?

Before there was a U.S. Border Patrol agency , the U.S Army and local or state police use to patrol our borders.

The Texas Rangers seemed to have made a big impact along the Rio Grande. Before the 1970's and political correctness the Texas Rangers use to boast about how many Mexicans they have shot during their long history.

BP came into existence in the mid 1920's. I grew up in San Diego, I assure you our border has never been secure. There have been times when more was done, and times when less was done, but border security, with all that word entails, has never been achieved because there's never been a TRUE effort. The whole reason we have 12 million illegal immigrants roaming about is the result of decades of loose security. This (for the 37th time) is a systemic problem that WILL NOT be repaired.

Did the number of illegal aliens cross the border like we're seeing now when Bush was president?

I don't recall a "crisis" like this?

Look, this stupid childish finger pointing isn't helping anything. Chaos in Central America is fuelling the current influx. Our border has never been sealed and secure, nor will it ever be.

Yes.
Illegal border crossings are nothing new.

Illegal crossings increased dramatically back when amnesty was passed in '86. As you may recall, the occupant of the White House was a Republican at that time. Having a Republican in the WH does not keep them out.

What did Prime Minister Chamberlain after his meeting with Hitler? Harry Reid has out done Chamberlain.

75 million out of our population total of 320 million. In fact half the Catholics under 40 are Hispanic.

Solution? Actually secure the border.

Correct, the border has never been secure and your childish finger pointing at Obama and your failure to hold Clinton and Bush accountable for insecure borders ensures continued open borders.
Have a look at post #67 while your at it.

Reid: Southern border is secure

Hell... why not just go full tilt and claim Social Security is fine, Medicare is doing great, and the deficit is under control?

These people are literally becoming circus clowns. The level of disrespect and arrogance they display every time they open their mouths is staggering. It's like they're having a secret contest amongst themselves to see who can tell the most outrageous lie and still get reelected... and the joke is on us!

Yea I think he already claimed all those things you mention! Crazy old coot that HReid

The establishment wing of the republican party is just as guilty because they are in bed with the Chamber of commerce, who wants cheap labor available. However major donors to progressive causes (George Soros) is an open borders guy. Not only do open borders progressives not want security, they don't want any enforcement at all.
