Ice removes 'alien' from term for illegal immigrant children

Changing the word used by bureaucrats totally changes the amount of people crossing the border!

No, it just makes an illegal act appear to be not illegal.

Yeah, we can see how an Email Obtained by the Center for Immigrations Studies and giving it to Breitbart would mean, it shouldn't be reported on. Even if other news sources carried something on the crap.

Instead these individuals are to be referred to as “unaccompanied children” in official correspondence, according to an internal ICE email obtained by the Center for Immigration Studies and shared with Breitbart News.....snip~

Why don't we call them what they really are, illegal alien children invited by executive order to become naturalized citizens.

Hope and change... too bad none of the ****ing idiots that voted Obama twice bothered to see what HOPE Obama was going for with the CHANGE.

People just don't understand that the term 'alien' doesn't mean 'little green body with big black eyes from planet Necron' hmm?

How about something more appropriate: "The poor kids whose parents willingly abandoned them to the detriment of their wellbeing."

The government, no matter which political party is at the helm, has zero interest in enforcing the US border. If it did, the border would be enforced.

But an equally alarming — and less publicized — tide of women from those same countries are crossing over each day, children in tow. They're employing the same strategies as the unaccompanied minors: crossing the Rio Grande near McAllen and turning themselves in to the nearest Border Patrol unit.

Border Patrol statistics show it's not just children crossing. The number of all immigrants — men, women and children — other than Mexicans arrested at the Southwest border has soared from 46,997 in fiscal year 2011 to nearly 150,000 last fiscal year.

"Family detention is extremely difficult to do, if not impossible, without traumatizing children and breaking down family structure," Brané said. "We're very concerned."

For now, after initial processing, Border Patrol officials are releasing the immigrant moms and kids at a bus station in downtown McAllen, where church volunteers whisk them to the Sacred Heart church. There, the women are able to shower for the first time in several days and stock up on donated clothes and boxed lunches for the bus ride to their final destinations, said Ofelia De Los Santos, a Catholic Diocese spokeswoman.

The church sees between 150 and 200 women a day, mostly from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, she said. Clients have included pregnant women, women cradling newborns, and a 97-year-old female immigrant. They pay anywhere from $2,000 to $20,000 to get from their home country to across the Texas border.

"These women are putting their lives on the line so they can escape terrible conditions in their countries," De Los Santos said.

Immigrant moms crossing Texas border at alarming rate

While I understand these people are desperate, so many cannot be allowed to cross the border. It isn't just a fiscal issue, but also a safety issue. If these people aren't legal, there is no way to keep track of them or insure that they are not criminals. Some people even use children to smuggle drugs. It needs to be stopped.

Heya MA :2wave: Yeah and then why don't we give Mexico a call and tell them if they don't start shutting down the mass migration through their country. That we will have to have a one on one talk with them.

Wherein they will be told about that backhand that's coming.

How about "Worthless freeloaders dumped by parents hoping to make a free ride happen.

Nah, we should be like Pelosi and call them future dem voters.

Large corporations have Much more to gain from cheap labor than a political party does from a demographic, which for the most part, does not vote. Therefore, it stands to reason to neo con posturing is giving the false impression of concern for the US border. My point: neither party cares about the Southern border.
