BREAKING: New Allegations Point to Cochran Campaign in Mississippi Senate Vote Buying

Re: BREAKING: New Allegations Point to Cochran Campaign in Mississippi Senate Vote Bu

We all were warned that open primaries would lead to this.

Open primaries are great. The party system is what sucks.

Polarization.

Re: BREAKING: New Allegations Point to Cochran Campaign in Mississippi Senate Vote Bu

Just as the open primaries will for your 2016 Presidentials.
Should be interesting to see if Priebus can get the Republicans to cancel the 10th amendment
as well as he managed the Senate primaries this year .

Re: BREAKING: New Allegations Point to Cochran Campaign in Mississippi Senate Vote Bu

There are still Democrats who are saying that Al Gore won the Presidential race back in 2000 after Gore had already conceded.

The Democrats went as far as demanding that the military absentee ballots be thrown out.

The even wanted the ballots of convicted felons who illegally voted counted.

They even wanted a recount of the recount.
But they only wanted recounts in areas that were typically heavy democrat populated...not statewide. And certainly not including military ballots.

there should be investigations into the allegations. If unfounded...happy days. If proven...well...

I agree...open primaries create huge potential for fraud, tampering, etc.

California just had it's first Governor open primary. It was the lowest turnout in California's history.

You have members of the Republican Party who believe that Republicans should decide who runs on the Republican ticket not Democrats or independents. So it seems many said **** it and didn't go to the polls.

Speaking of primaries, how about that jungle primary in Louisiana's Senate race?
It's even money right now that the December run-off will be for Senate control.
I call it the billion-dollar run-off with duck dynasty types versus bill clinton types.
And I still have the Senate title against Perotista though we don't talk much anymore.

There's a certain party in this Nation that believes in state's rights and the 10th amendment.
Except when that party is a minority party as in California.

I believe that all elections for the same federal office should have the same rules.
As for the civil war amendment/the 10th; well you know my feelings on that piece of **** .

Here in California we have a serious problem to many stupid people voting.

For example in Los Angeles County 50% of the working age adults are legally classified as being illiterate or functional illiterates. These people vote.

Over the years I have watch local news station or read newspaper articles asking voters how did they come to the conclusion to vote for or against a state proposition that's on a ballot or for a candidate ? Most said they went by the TV political ads they watched. Who ever has the best ads on TV gets the vote.

Re: BREAKING: New Allegations Point to Cochran Campaign in Mississippi Senate Vote Bu

Cochran won this..pure and simple.
With a claim of 8,300 questionable ballots, it is not quite so pure and simple. D'oh!

Re: BREAKING: New Allegations Point to Cochran Campaign in Mississippi Senate Vote Bu

No. If it is true that he is bringing this to court, then it really depends on what the court decides.

Understand, but it's a shame that these claims of 8,300 suspected fraudulent votes is not taken up willingly by the state.

Of course when they see an ad that has a freebie attached, that's an automatic vote getter.

 ??? :doh
Who's job is it to find and challenge? His or the states?

It's just not free stuff and just not in California but you see in many blue states where the people have no problem of raising taxes on other people as long as taxes aren't being raised on them.

Here is what's strange that has been noticed in California. It's usually small municipalities with mostly a hispanic immigrant population who actually voted to add a 1/2% city sales tax on themselves not realising the repercussions. They sit there wondering why all of the new car dealerships packed up and moved to a different city. Or why appliance stores that sell refrigerators, stoves and wide screen TV's got out of Dodge.
