We must invent a time machine to go back and make sure that name is never used.

More than likely the owners of those trucks will have to cover the names on the side of the truck or Ebay will refuse to advertise the truck because of the racist name.

    Where will this stop?
that's the point. It WONT stop. The person bringing the suit against the Redskins franchise has made it clear. Her intent is to target ANYONE that uses a name related to Indians. To her it only matters if SHE haz a sad.

For their own good of course. Out of respect.

People definitely have too much time on their hands.

That is the danger of having life too easy.

Indians should be proud of one of their tribe's names on the helicopter. Those aircraft are the definition of badazz.

An old Chevy truck should just be left to rust and a slur for the name of the worst football team in the NFC East should be changed to the Washington congressmen.

Seems how the US Army is the only Army I know of to honor a former enemy this way.

Somehow I just cannot see a british army helicoprter being named the Zulu or the Continental.
As a trivia side note, the British tribal class destroyers were not only powerful fleet destroyers, but many were named after former enemies including: HMS Zulu, HMS Pathan, HMS Cossack, HMS Somali, HMS Afridi etc.

And if we have to change the Jeep Cherokee and Comanche names. Then all the towns and streets in the Mid West, Michigan, North East and Florida areas with Indian names. It doesn't end that's the point.

I think the most depressingly ironic part of calling an army helicopter after a Native American group is that the US Army played a decisive role in pushing them into reservations and slaughtering many of them. Now they've white washed history to claim it's all about how "badass" these bands were and how we're "honoring" them by naming helicopters after their groups. The reality however is that if they were such badasses most of them wouldn't have spent the last 200 years demanding for their land to be returned and for recognition of the fact that their cultures were nearly destroyed.

It's almost as if people didn't understand just why an institution which took a role in this:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marias_Massacre

May not be seen as the best group to be "honoring" the fighting spirit of Native Americans.

    I sit corrected.

Clearly however those names are offensive. The Royal Navy must be compelled to re- name those ships immediately.
