You see Bob. You completely misunderstand. No one is shoving it in your face. It's simply present now just like anyone else's sexuality but because it you see it as a "sick perversion" and it BUGS you so frkn much you THINK it's being shoved in your face.

Neither is anyone demanding you accept it as normal or proper or that you're not offended by it. (They probably couldn't give a rats ass what your definition of normal and proper are. ) What "they" want is to have the same rights as every other loving couple.

This seems staged to draw attention away from the news that Apple pretends to be an Irish company in order to avoid taxes.

Never been a fan of Apple myself. I don't like being told how I'm allowed to do things and then charged for the pleasure. But that's just me.

As regards the story, while outting is not a particularly nice thing to do in our current social climate, the thrust of the OP, given the title, is clearly that he is gay.

To which I say... wake me when you have something important to share.

And it should have been his decision to reveal that he is gay or not. It's not anyones' business, and especially not of that asshole who called him out. That asshole deserves a slap. Or a kick in the balls.

Actually in the corporate world it is a HUGE thing. Remember when the head of BP was outed by a former lover and how long he lasted after that? Of the 700 top companies on the S&P, 0.. well now one, if Apple is on the list. are run by a person that has come out.

Women on boards and in CEO seats in the top companies are more common than openly homosexual CEOs... that says something..

They are not hiding it. Fact is that they used every "legal" means to avoid taxes world wide, so that when they finally do want take it home then they have to pay almost full taxes on it.. is their problem. Fact is they paid 2% tax in Ireland and have to pay the difference between the Irish tax and the American tax.... how about just not using Ireland then?

Let's have a big parade! Or something! Wait, remember when the House was investigating multiple scandals, and the Senate Democrats decided, with all these scandals, they needed to call Apple in and scold them?

Apparently, the Democrats were upset that Apple wasn't handing more money over to them, even though they paid their taxes. They needed to be called in to be made an example of, the dems wanted to show that they were not happy with a company that made that much money, and wanted to show the public that it did not sit well with them.

Turns out, the Democrats are a bunch of gay bashers! That was the hidden reason, since Apple did nothing wrong.

I'd actually agree with this - even though you were being "tongue in cheek" (pun intended).

I don't care who it is, I'm old enough to be embarrassed when any two people are practically procreating on a bus, in McDonald's, on the street, etc. Little acts of tenderness and endearment are fine - full on foreplay should be left at home whether you're straight, gay, bi-sexual or whatever.

Well then, anyone who doesn't like public foreplay should be sure to say "I hate it when couples engage in public foreplay", rather than "I hate it when gays flaunt their sexuality". To be perfectly clear: some gays "flaunt" their sexuality, and so do some heterosexuals. Singling out gays for criticism is just being an asshole.
