It's more than a bit disingenuous when the open borders set has no problem with lumping immigrants and illegals together when it serves their purpose, but object strongly when it doesn't. Don't like it, then stop using "immigrants" as a generic term yourself.

"Open borders set" I find that a little disingenuous too! Which president or congress in the past 50 years has been motivated to do a damn thing to close our borders?
Killing one person is murder, killing 100,000 is foreign policy

Pretty much every single one have been motivated to do it. Perhaps you should read a little of our history. Start with Eisenhower's Bracero program. And you get called on one disingenuous moment and hop right to the next. The call hasn't been to close our borders to everyone, just illegals. Every one of our modern presidents and congresses have been trying to figure out how to do that - until Obama, who leans more toward letting them in and allowing them to stay. Even Bush has a better record and he was one of the worst.

Wrong! No SERIOUS action has ever been TAKEN to secure our borders. That's not what big business wants, that's not whats going to happen. The next president, should it be a GOPer, won't be doing it either. There is no "open borders set" save big business that both parties pander to. Only a partisan would say that Obama is the only president who has allowed the open borders he inherited to remain open.
