IRS to Pay $50,000 in Leaking of Marriage Group

"Two years after activists for same-sex marriage obtained the confidential tax return and donor list of a national group opposed to redefining marriage, the Internal Revenue Service has admitted wrongdoing and agreed to settle the resulting lawsuit.

The Daily Signal has learned that, under a consent judgment today, the IRS agreed to pay $50,000 in damages to the National Organization for Marriage as a result of the unlawful release of the confidential information to a gay rights group, the Human Rights Campaign, that is NOM’s chief political rival."

Not a smidge of corruption.

Nope, not even a smidgeon.

Is it just me, or does the IRS seem to be just a little too involved in politics these days?

No one will be fired. Somebody will be "promoted".

People wonder why so many of us are distrust our government. Why would they wonder that?

Why not lead with an article that is not from a political porn site so we can all indulge in serious political discussion as opposed to commenting on your fantasies. A big part of the corruption here (and perhaps all of it here) is the with the news manufacturer and its political "mark-ups".

Are you suggesting an article from Paul Krugman?

So you come to the non-MSM board to complain that the article is not MSM? Brilliant.

Does the Washington Post meet your criteria?

These folks in this administration are in full cover up mode. They have already admitted that they targeted certain groups. Yet the stonewalling of this administration is the real story. To the the likes of me, I in my lifetime, have never seen such Bull Sh**. Thank goodness for Judicial Watch and the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act). A new can of worms in regard to this administration has just been opened. They filed once again in regard of not receiving all the documents requested in regard to Lerner and no mention that Lerner's convenient computer crash and missing emails were not divulged. Thanks to them these little slime balls will have to answer before a Federal judge. My bet someone will break under the pressure and spill the beans rather than perjure themselves. Mark your calendar for July 10th and Stay tuned......:)

That is the crazy thing about this. The story broke when Lois Lerner called a press conference in which she planted a question in the audience to ask her about the targeting of Tea Party groups and blamed the Cincinnati office for a "not so fine" filter so that she could apologize in advance of the IG report that was going to show that the IRS targeted Tea Party groups. The ding bats on the left are so far up this admins rectum that they couldn't hear that admission from Lerner, or the proof that Lerner LIED in that Q&A (it wasn't centralized to Cinci), and after she pled the fifth rather than answer questions. And that was BEFORE the IRS claimed to have lost all of her emails.
