    I think it's figured out now. He confessed to murdering both, but because they're (cops) are gathering evidence to prove those charges of murder or homicide, they (cops) needed to charge him with something to hold him on until all evidence of the murders is completed or collected.

    I believe I heard bail was set at $1 million.

    Still doesn't make sense. If he confessed, why do they need some other charge to hold him? Murder seems like a reasonable charge.

    They're collecting evidence from his home/apartment stilll, even the refrigerator. uh oh, gosh he had a truck load of ****.

    Oh hell, the perpetrator's attorney claims the deaths could have been accidental.

    Let's examine this for a minute, a deviant man ball-gags a girl, wraps a rope around here neck, her eyes begin to roll back in her head, what does he do, ask her how she's feeling? I am at a loss.
