In surprise vote, House backs NSA limits

Again, of course he condones it. He's not stupid.

got a link for this ?
Because he condones the surveillance, or the NSA knows that Obama is the most impotent president in American history.

Just admit your accusation is untrue and let's move on.
Let's not move on, since you're the one letting loose with accusations unsupported in this thread .

VA, Ibamacare, IRS targetting, giving the show away in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Berdahl trade, The Ukraine, the redline in Syria, Marine falsely imprisoned in Mexico. Shall I keep going?

All of our presidents engage in selective enforcement. Besides, I don't think the NSA cares about the president either.

They would if Congress and the President shut down their funding. But who's kidding whom - neither is truly interested in shutting down the NSA.

I agree that neither is interested in shutting it down. Neither the dems nor the repubs. But even if they did, I think the NSA would still do it on the sly

A step in the right direction! Will it pass the Senate? Hopefully! But does this go far enough?

It won't make it through the senate unchanged. if it does i will be surprised.
the only other question is will obama veto it. I read somewhere that he was against this from the start but i would have to double check.

I think it is a start the key is to keep the teeth in place without the teeth which is adherence to the 4th amendment and getting warrents we have no clue.
the other problem is are they going to have to get warrents from a real court or this secret court that has 0 accountability that will just hand write them what they want.

Its a flip of a coin. He's either stupid, or crooked.

Or, he is familiar enough with history to understand that the last POTUS who got uppity with CIA and NSA was taken out with a bullet....

In such a case, they could only do it on the sly if the service providers conspired with them to do so. At which point, this thread gets moved to the conspiracy theory forum.

Kennedy was killed the Soviets and/or the Cubans.

WTF is the communist conspiracy theory?

The one that suggests the United States government, or elements thereof assissinated Kennedy, or that there was some massive cover up by the CIA, FBI and USDA, or that there was an entire team of assassins involved.

OK, I understand that, but I don't see what that has to do with communism.

Are you descended from Hoover or McCarthy?
