Maybe on paper he gets so much deferred compensation and maybe that is what he gets but with the history of his relationship with the company I think it's naive to not expect some kind of kick back under that table. Maybe I am a little cynical when it comes to the ultra rich and powerful but for someone who has in the past profited from wars, it's kind of hard to take him too serious even when making excellent points.

    Sometimes, I'm not so sure.

In regards to Halliburton and no bid contracts, people do not realize that no bid contracts are VERY typical for government jobs for which specialized skills are needed. For example, just prior to the U.S. led invasion of Iraq in 2003 it was feared that Iraq would torch the oil fields (again). So the Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown & Root was awarded a contract to put out oil well fires.

There was ONLY ONE OTHER company in the world considered qualified to put out oil well fires on a large scale. And it was French.

And Halliburton was being awarded no bid contracts all during the Clinton Admin. as well.

I'd like to think we could all agree on that but I really doubt it.
I call my own shots, largely based on an accumulation of data, and everyone knows it.

Cheney and Obama. It's too bad that Ted Kennedy isnt still around. He could give both of these guys a driving tour of Martha's Vineyard.
