Immigrant Children Raped, Punched, Kicked in Border Patrol Custody: Complaint

The Governors are the commander and chiefs of their National Guard.

Immigration is a federal issue, not state. I don't know why you can't understand this. The President is responsible for this mess.

If allowed don't you think governors like Jan Brewer and Rick Perry would absolutely take care of this matter. You better believe they would.

Any time that any children are being raped, punched and kicked, it's obvious that they are not being well cared for.

Whoever was supposed to be taking care of these children needs to face a trial.

This sounds criminal to me.

I guess that would be the parents who abandoned them.

Deportation is one thing. Rape is another.

And radishes yet another.

There has been no evidence of rape, or any mistreatment of these children. In fact, especially in the Churches, there is a lot of aid being given.

It seems that many believe Latinos have no understanding or interest in parenthood.

I think you misread the bolded. I didnt say has or did occur but rather could. I feel that these accusations just as all reports of prison mistreatment should be investigated.

I misread your intent. I apologize.

Now you done it! You gonna get accused, like I did, of wanting to deny them basic human rights!!

We need mexican migrants.

Xenophobes make me laugh. Go chew on some hay or something.

Why do we need them? We obviously don't, and it has nothing to do with xenophobia, but I am interested in hearing your twisted version as to why you think that we do need them...

If they're raping children, that pretty much qualifies them as bad guys in my book.

And if they are not raping children will you then call the scum bag parents or lawyers that are falsely accusing the BP agents of such a crime. "bad guys"?

It seems that some are actually hoping that these abuses took place in order to justify their dislike of the American people, forgetting that whoever did this sort of thing would be arrested and his life made a living horror.

Let's use your friend "logic" to answer that. Most Mexican migrants are coming to the United States for employment, and most of them are getting employment. The very fact that someone is employing them suggests that they offer some value to that business or individual.

True. That was my feeling as well... the disgust of some Americans regarding their own country is appalling. They seem to seek out and root for mistakes and atrocities even more. They loved bashing Gitmo and what was done down there but what do we find out now? One of the worst scumbag terrorists that we ever caught, we let go, and now he is running the ISIS terrorist army in Iraq/Syria that is causing so much hell.

Actually, my interest lies in the fact that non-citizen migrants from Mexico or elsewhere are easy targets for criminals and thugs, since they're less likely to report crimes due to 1.) lack of language skills 2.) lack of knowledge concerning their rights and 3.) fear of deportation should they be discovered in this country or their identity be made known.

Them being easy targets and me being a compassionate human being, I'd like to see measures taken to ensure at least that they are treated civilly and humanely.

Teenagers used to work the low end jobs. The only reason they don't anymore is because Mexicans came in and undercut the wages. If illegals were not here getting low interest home and car loans that I, a hardworking American can't qualify for, then teenagers would go back to work and get of the X-Box.

Citibank Provide Cheap Home Loans to Illegal Aliens

...and be condescending to a person that it might affect. You are a joke so it bothers me zero.

In fact many illegals from these countries are themselves criminals and thugs, and often prey on each other. And despite their lack of language skills, not seemingly factored in prior to their illegal arrival, and lack of knowledge concerning their rights, they still flock to the American border, escaping from the corruption and incompetence of their own governments. That's where the real fault lies.

Genuinely compassionate human beings tend not to boast of their compassion. And this is made less plausible when these cliamants are suggesting others are responsible for vicious crimes that have yet to be proven.

I'm used to the unwarranted accusations of the left here at DP.

Unlike you, I believe in the free market. Citibank thinks they can make a buck offering cheap loans to Mexicans? Great. Companies would rather hire Mexicans than your unreliable kid who sleeps till noon? Fantastic.

If your teenager has a hard time getting a job, that's on them. There are plenty of ways to take the initiative and make a living.

You don't understand history, are obviously a racist that would rather see a low interest loan go to a brown skinned person than a white one and my kids are 8 and 10 years old and they work to make their money.

Sadly I cannot say that I am surprised that such things could occur. Our prison system, while not exactly the same is in many ways very similar, is rife with mistreatment as described much of which is either not being reported or ignored when it is. I mean after all most people do not feel a lot of remorse for a convicted criminal and are willing turn a blind eye. When people are given complete power over others abuses tend to eventually happen.

I am not sure what you mean by "our" prison system unless you mean federal prisons. Other than these, don't individual states run their own prisons? I am not at all prepared that the prisons in my state are "rife with mistreatment."

You think the word "migrant" is limited to someone who comes, does your work, and leaves?

You're right. Only one of us knows the meaning of words.

"migrant birds"

That right there is the traditional meaning. I actually live in a community heavy with former migrants. I say former because the white then INS vans stopped coming by at the end of the season. It was a reminder the season was over and the migrants would return home and live on the wages they earned while here. There are migrant visas still.

For one, these illegals are not exclusively Mexican. Two they also are not migrants. Your attempt to reframe reality by playing with words is noted. There is no relation between illegals and folks working here under visa.

You and I are both using language to frame our viewpoints on those who come to this country. If your use of language is intended to condemn those people and my use of language is intended to accept them, which of us is in the right?
