Re: Gallup: Majority Says Obama Not ‘Honest and Trustworthy’
You know, one does not use health insurance until you need it. How horrible it must be to learn that you are not covered when you need it the most, even though you may have paid your premiums faithfully all along. No one asks to get brain cancer, heart attack, stroke, or diabetes or any other potential killer, yet people do suffer from them even when they try to live a healthy lifestyle. And what happens to the Hippocratic Oath? Does it no longer apply now that it will be out of the doctor's hands?
I recently discovered that I have become gluten intolerant. Okay, I can eliminate gluten from my diet...maybe. Since I have now learned that there are thousands of foods that contain gluten, it hasn't been easy, and since I grew up eating strudels and other scrumptious goodies, and since I enjoy baking, it's been a real test to adhere to the celiac guidelines. "I'm doing it for my health" has become my mantra, but I sure do miss those foods! *if they ever tell me fudge is bad, .....*

I deal with this every day, polgara. They are called insurance company case managers and they use the guidelines of their COMPANY and often do not care what the provider says... the one actually treating the patient.
