I don't trust anyone who didn't try drugs back then but Obama was a full on dope fiend in a different era, big difference.

Bush is well known for being a partier, but at least I understand now that it's not the drugs that you have a problem with, just their drug of choice. Bush was very much a huge cokehead, and I could bring up his crippling alcoholism but I'm sure you'd be able to parse why that's preferable. At least you're consistent, Sawyer, I'll give you that.

I was army and retired after 20 years, 10 years in Southeast Asia, 3 in Germany, 3 as a Drill Sergeant at Ft. Leonard Wood and 3 at Ft. Gordon as NCOIC of Willard Training Area. I was with JUSMAGTHAI in Bangkok, Project 404 in Laos, 1st Signal Bde and MACV in Saigon, 340th ASA and the 11th ACR in Germany.

No evidence Bush was a cokehead like Obama admitted too. He did party in college and guzzle beer like most frat brats but when he matured he grew out of it. Having a wife and kids made him grow up.

He didn't guzzle beer like a most frat brats, he was an alcoholic. And he constantly changed and quantified his answer about his drug use until, when pressed to answer a question he couldn't risk incriminating himself publicly on, he slammed the door shut altogether. What I find interesting is that you'd really hear an easy lie than a hard truth.

What IYO defines an alcoholic? Years ago I was at a Champaign brunch with friends when some old tea tottler at the next table said to his wife in a loud voice, " You would really have to be an alcoholic to drink at 10am". We all just laughed at him which was not the response the geezer was looking for. Was that you?:lol:

Ummm....have that quote handy? I heard he admitted he felt drinking was having a negative impact on his life so he quit which I think is admirable.

As I thought,your assertion that Bush admitted to being an alcoholic was false and as I said obama admitted to using cocaine. Alcohol is legal coke is not and now we have a pres who was an admitted drug user .Comparing him to Bush is like comparing a guy that blows through a stop sign at 60MPH to a guy that rolls through looking both ways. Give it up.

Are we really arguing whether G.W. Bush was an alcoholic and coke head? Of course he was. He probably still is, and obviously he was while he was president.
