I seen something similar before. I was in Vietnam during the Eastertide Offensive of 1972 and watched the South Vietnamese units that still had American advisors fight like heck and eventually drive the North Vietnamese back. Then with JUSMAGTHAI in Bangkok I watched these same units that had fought so good, An Loc being a prime example basically do what the Iraqi’s did, throw down their weapon and run like heck. Because of this I wonder if we still had an adviser with the Iraqi’s in Mosel, what would have happened. Now it isn't a matter of training, when I left Vietnam in March of 1973, those units were well trained. I am sure when we pulled out of Iraq a couple of years ago, the same was true.

So what makes the same troops fight like heck when our adviser is with them and not without them? Moral perhaps, I don’t know. I do hope this is where the similarities end, but I am fearful that is not the case.
Maybe they don't feel their leadership and lifestyle options are worth defending. We left a shiitehole in Iraq, but the OIL is in the Centralized Distribution Network and moving around priced in USDollars. Yesireee, a complete success for Exxon/Mobil and the Corporate Oligarchy especially the MIC. Ain't this freedom and liberty stuff a little hard to get a grip on when it is CORPORATIZED? Very profitable, however. Not for USA taxpayers, but the Corporate Oligarchy. Golly gee, and they're just getting started in Ukraine. Except for a lot of dead non-combatants, women, children, Grandma and the dog, it's just gonna be a veritable cornucopia of largesse for the status quo of Western Oligarchy. Screw a bunch of freedom and liberty, there's large bucks to be made. Let's see, that would be CAPITALISM, no CORPORATISM, no, business as usual when your MILITARY OFFENSE budget is greater than all the rest of the World's military budgets combined. I must be cornfused, this doesn't sound too good for the Sound Byte Society of "they hate us for our freedoms," or other pearls of insanity getting worked up in our collective oyster mainstream media. The USA specialty is WAR. I will repeat what a Vietnamese lady friend told me in 1966, "How do you help the Vietnamese by bringing war and death to our Country?" Just keep changing the name of the Country and keep repeating the question. However the WARS are very profitable, but not for John Doe or Maury Two-Fingers. Nevertheless the financiers (BANKSTERS), Arms Manufactureres (MIC), and Energy distributors (PETRO-GAS-etc.) are doing very well and most of the USA is too fat anyway, so a little leaning is a good thing, eh?

If they have pilots amongst them then yes they will, military birds are designed to be easy to fly so that the pilot workload under combat is minimized. The real question is do they have fuel and maintenance guys to take care of the birds. If they do then the birds are worth more than a couple of flights.

You don't think that amongst all those Johnny Jihadies there aint one pilot? Its possible there isn't one I suppose. Personally, I think that Al Qaeda or Iran some other wack jobs will send some pilots over if there really isn't one amongst the Jihadies.

Why would there be? You think Iran sends pilots to set up IEDs and ambush villagers?

Oh noes, gasoline $7.00 a gallon?

My question is should we, the USA go back there and re-destabilize Iraq?
