Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lied to

Re: Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lie

ROEs.....and 9800 that wont be.

What the other funny part is.
The Taliban isn't the ruling government of Afghanistan.
Yet we are talking to them like they are. Imagine that!

The Taliban is the ruling government of those who do what the Taliban tells them to do.

Re: Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lie

I posted a link to this site in the bar... some historic photos that are pretty damn amazing. One in particular has haunted me since I saw it.

Afghan women at a public library during the 1950s.

QZnRe7I-620x-620x.jpg

The Afghanistan government was shifting towards democracy in the 1950s and 60s before the Taliban took over. Women could work, become educated, dress casually and use many of the modern day services that men could.

Makes me wonder WTH we didn't stomp these roaches into sand long before now. Guess we didn't see that slippery slope lefties claim doesn't exist. :(

you understand that the Taliban come into existence in 1990s right, you understand that many on the American right wanted to work with the Taliban right? You understand that conservatives attacked President Clinton when he wanted to stop the Taliban right? No....more's the pity.

Heya SN.....they may be the ones behind the scenes. But they are not the ruling authority.

Currently after they held their Election over there, evidently someone on BO's team failed to inform them of this exchange that was taking place this week.

Re: Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lie

Here's something worse... inviting the deserter's parents to join the president at the white house for a photo op.

Is Barack Obama evil or just plain stupid? That's the question of the day.
.

This story has exploded on the Internet. Drudge is all over it

Reintegration: Military hides Bergdahl from public view...
FLASHBACK: 'Converted to Islam And Taught Captors Bomb Making Skills'...
NYTIMES: Left note explaining desertion before going AWOL...
Pentagon knew whereabouts but didn't risk rescue for 'deserter'...
Never Officially Listed as POW...
CHARGE: Soldiers died searching for him...
Former fed prosecutor: Release of Gitmo terrorists impeachable offense...
CHENEY: U.S. will 'pay a price'...
Freed Taliban leaders given hero's welcome...
Toobin: Obama 'Clearly Broke Law'...
Three years since consulting Congress...
FATHER: 'I am still working to free all Guantanamo prisoners'...
Anger explodes...
WAS HILLARY IN ON IT?

Anymore it's as if this president and his administration makes another crap sandwich each day and expects us to eat it.

Evil, no doubt about it. Last two years of his term and you will see him turn on us with a vengeance.

Re: Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lie

I am speculating here, but from my time in the field and from what little information I've come across as this story pans out, I'm betting this guy is an intelligence officer. I'm definitely not buying into the idea that he's just an infantryman who abandoned his post.

Re: Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lie

Obama breaks our laws more than Al Capone. This could hopefully break the back of the dems come election time. He goes to West point, denies help to vets and then makes the single most atrocious hostage trade deal in American history, not for a soldier rather for a deserter and possibly a traitor. Why only 5 for 1, why not 500 for 1? Let's listen to the dems squirm out of this one as they already tried to do last Sunday.

Obama is just incompetent.

The job of POTUS is larger than Obama and Obama knew it by February of 2009.

Incompetent and DANGEROUS.

Shame on the Dems for being so naive, but just wait. They'll being us another unqualified candidate in 2016. They've lost the ability to see past their party line.

Re: Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lie

It just keeps getting better.

Why does it matter that he died looking for a fellow soldier rather than a taliban commander?

No man left behind is a motto that comes to mind.

But lying is never good, so that army should have told the truth.

I'm afraid your speculation is little more than wishful thinking. At least according to reports from those who served with him.

He's a deserter who sympathizes with those who would destroy America. :(

Re: Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lie

Even ABC News and NPR are reporting this stuff now. This looks really bad for the White House.

It looks even worse for Media Matters.

Yes, Obama played that 'no soldier left behind' card this morning. Doubtful America fell for it from him either.

I question the reliability of those reports. At any rate, if he is an intelligence officer, it's unlikely anyone in his unit knew, save for maybe 1 or 2 individuals. At least in my experience. I worked intelligence for 9 years before anyone I directly served with knew.

But again, speculation. He could be a traitor. I just think this story is too fishy. But I also freely admit I don't like believing it, so there's my bias.

Obama and those he surrounded himself with are also a national security threat.

The first time I heard someone say that was in 2010 while attending a social function and it was an Air Force Lt. Gen who made the comment off the record.

Americans will be bleeding and dying twenty to forty years in the future because of the decisions had had already made just during his first couple of years as as the Incompetent CnC.

Why does it matter? I can't believe you actually asked that.

I remember when Clinton gave the Tals 43 billion dollars.

He is not.....They have his own statements to his CO and Dempsey said this morning that he will face any Charges brought upon him.

Re: Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lie

It gets worse.

There goes BO's plan for Getting the Taliban to the table for Peace Talks.

Well there isn't any future in negotiating with terrorists. Perhaps he will learn that now.

Re: Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lie

No, it wasn't the Army or the Pentagon who made that claim. That story was started by someone else who passed it on to the Washington Post. Rumor has it that their source was a Congressman from Lynch's home state. The Pentagon never said anything about what Lynch did.

But any old lie will do to s*** on the American military.

Ahhh the old CON game... you cite a BLOG who makes claims... You expand what I said in an attempt to disprove it all...

Where did I say the PENTAGON???? the blog cite says the reporter, Loeb said the Pentagon wasn't the source but refused to name the source.

Now that you mention the Pentagon, on April 2, 2003 the PENTAGON released 5 minutes of the rescue video and claimed Jessica had been tortured, shot and stabbed. As far as I know the entire video has never been released. (taken from the same source that makes the vague claim Jessica's Congressman made up the shot stabbed story, did ya miss it????)

The Pentagon and Centcom sure pushed to make the Pvt Lynch story a propaganda piece.

If you could post the name of the source for the Congressman being the start of the shot and stabbed rumor please, it seems to yet another unnamed source...

Well there isn't any future in negotiating with terrorists. Perhaps he will learn that now.

I doubt it......he thinks because he disagreed with the Law he signed in which he issued a statement about it. He is above the law.

Until.....he gets shown Otherwise. He will just continue on in his botched and failed Hopes.

This is actually really interesting. Do you also have statistics for the general population of Afghanistan? Those living in poverty, those with schooling, etc?

Re: Parents of fallen soldier: Our son died looking for Bergdahl and the military lie

Yes, Obama played that 'no soldier left behind' card this morning. Doubtful America fell for it from him either.

I post the following quotes from Military men-

Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman JCF- "It is our ethos we never leave a fallen comrade. Today we have back in our ranks the only remaining captured American soldier from our conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Welcome home Sgt. Bowe Berdahl."

General Dunford, commander US and Coalition Forces, Afghanistan- "You almost got choked up. It was pretty extraordinary. It has almost been 5 years and he is home."

Oh and before the usual suspect wanders in here to spout off about PC generals and the like, Fortune Magazine (no bastion of PC Obama love) ranks General Dunford as one the the WORLD's top 50 leaders...

General Dempsey led the Army's largest Divisional command in US History in Iraq. He would be one of those 'war fighters' some claim Obama loves to purge...
