Exclusive: Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi chapter

Looks like she was worried to much about that gotcha moment.....rather than doing her job. Oh, and partying like BO.....as she said. An election was Right around the corner.

But then when she showed up in Oct of 2011.....she made sure there was ample security. The Lefts silence also tells you that they know the Jig is up too.

Hillary isn't a hope they have. ;)

What will people say knowing she never called back to check on her people.....to see if they made out Alive or not?

the fact you are blaming them for caring more about a election is hypocritical because you cannot block out your partisan bias's.

This is heartwarming:

More cavalierly dismissing mass shootings and making it all about gun control.

I like this next one in particular. "...while crying about the losses of a few." I guess a "few" deaths only matter if they're ambassadors killed by terrorists in a foreign land. Citizens killed in mass shootings? No sweat!

Or on the significance of reports on mass shootings. Yep, the "big impacts" of victims of mass shootings are just hyped up.

The reactions to mass shootings is "hysteria":

Yikes, in this next one Calgun really does mourn 12 dead in one shooting (albeit instantly making it about the terrible antis). Guess I'm wrong about him after all. He'll definitely call for an investigation into laws that allow for the ease of acquiring them. Looks like I have some apologizing to do.

Ha ha, just kidding. He goes on to call the victims of mass shootings statistically irrelevant compared to the deaths caused by governments. In fact, reading through Calgun's posts that was pretty much his primary theme.

and...

Yep, all that heartwarming soul searching from the side that wants an investigation into Benghazi.

Quoted for Own4g3.

benghazi would have been irellevent if we had thrown our entire support behind the libyan government and actually had troops on the ground.

i blame the administration, the congress, and the selfishness of the american people for unable to provide support to the libyan people.

How so with 1/3rd of the Population supporting him and the African Union?

In March 2011, American diplomat Christopher Stevens was stationed in Benghazi as the American liaison to Libya's “opposition” rebels—among whom were many al Qaeda-affiliated jihadists—who were fighting to topple the longstanding regime of President Muammar Qaddafi. Ambassador Stevens' task was to help coordinate covert U.S. assistance to these rebels.

Following Qaddafi's fall from power in the summer of 2011, Ambassador Stevens was tasked with finding and securing the vast caches of powerful armaments which the Libyan dictator had amassed during his long reign. In turn, Stevens facilitated the transfer of these arms to the “opposition” rebels in Syria who were trying to topple yet another Arab dictator—Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. As in Libya, the rebels in Syria were likewise known to include al Qaeda and other Shariah-supremacist groups. In addition to facilitating arms transfers, Stevens' duties also included the recruitment of Islamic jihadists from Libya and elsewhere in North Africa who were willing to personally go into combat against the Assad regime in Syria. The U.S. mission in Benghazi served as a headquarters from which all the aforementioned activities could be coordinated with officials and diplomats from such countries as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

Throughout 2012, violent jihadist activity became increasingly commonplace in Benghazi and elsewhere throughout Libya and North Africa. At or near the U.S. mission in Benghazi, for instance, there were many acts of terrorism featuring the use of guns, improvised explosive devices, hand grenades, rocket-propelled grenades, and car-bombs, along with explicit threats against Americans issued by known terrorists like al Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri. As a result of such developments, Ambassador Stevens and others at the U.S. mission in Benghazi repeatedly asked the Obama administration for increased security provisions during 2012, but these requests were denied or ignored......snip~

Now all we need.....is who gave Stevens that Order to go to Benghazi and meet that Turk Envoy. That Night.....and how did the Turk get out?

would a man who really supported his people bomb them when they protested his regime?

My sympathy for Ghaddafi is non-existant because of his involvement in lockerbie and what he did to his own people.

his cult of personality doomed his country.

Yeah well.....when that word. Repeated, calls for Security/(Help) comes Ringing thru.....you might then understand about that Oath they take and as well as any in the Military.

do you account for different time zones? the chain of command? or just the simple factor of random chance?

i am not a religious man but i do believe in chance, and that night was unfortunately the result of multiple factors.

This Changes nothing of what is posted up and tears this Administration apart at the seams.....but really. Here is some of what he did.

In Libya Homes were considered as a human right.
Newly married couples received $50,000 to buy their homes.

Human rights in Libya - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In 2006, Amnesty International called for an independent inquiry into unconfirmed deaths that occurred in Abu Salim maximum security prison during the 1996 riot.[25] In 2009, Human Rights Watch believes that 1,270 prisoners were killed.[26][27] However, Human Rights Watch states that they were unable to independently verify the allegations. The claims cited by Human Rights Watch are based on the testimony of a single former inmate, Hussein Al Shafa’i, who stated that he did not witness a prisoner being killed: "I could not see the dead prisoners who were shot..."[28]

Luis Moreno Ocampo, chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, estimated that between 500 and 700 people were killed by Gaddafi's security forces in February 2011, before the rebels even took up arms. "Shooting at protestors was systematic," Moreno-Ocampo stated, discussing the Libyan government's response to the initial pro-democracy demonstrations.[40]

For 40 years, Libya was declared a Not Free state by Freedom House.

Electricity was free to all people.

You can do that when 40% of the population lives in poverty.

Before Gaddafi less than 1/5th of population of libya was literate, education after Gaddafi was free and 83% literacy rate. Healthcare was free and of high quality.

Good grief, look at Cuba and how free they are for accomplishing the same thing.

All loans were interest free 0% by law.

Not much of a point in charging interest when most of the population can't even afford loans.

When a Libyan bought a car, government paid 50% of price.

40% poverty.

Price of Gasoline was 0.14$ (8.4 rupees a litre)

Socialist nonsense.

On 1st july 2011, 1.7 million people assembled in Green Square in support of Gaddafi, to show defiance against the NATO bombing Libya. That is 95% population of Tripoli or 1/3 the population of libya.

Regimes are never short of people willing to defend it.

Libyan central bank was state owned, unlike the banks in west.

So what?

Libya was debt free.

No. He believed in his rule. He was a dictator.

Do you think any deflection about Gadhafi and what he was or is.....changes up mistakes made by this Administration. Lies told outright to the American people. Then statements walked back to even admitting oh now we know.

Which then doesn't even count the whole issue on both the State Dept an the CIA blaming each other.

Oh and now.....remember this is an Actual Committee that can take measures. Unlike.....and I that's Unlike any of the other committees that have been held.

Do you think that part is to difficult to understand for those on the left? You know about the Measures that can be taken. Where the other Committees couldn't take them?

Why do they always repeat that useless line about all the other committees?

He believed in direct democracy,

Direct democracy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Direct democracy (also known as pure democracy)[1] is a form of democracy in which people decide (e.g. vote on, form consensus on, etc.) policy initiatives directly, as opposed to a representative democracy in which people vote for representatives who then decide policy initiatives.[2] Depending on the particular system in use, it might entail passing executive decisions, the use of sortition, making laws, directly electing or dismissing officials and conducting trials. Two leading forms of direct democracy are participatory democracy and deliberative democracy.

At what point did Libyans decide... anything under Gaddafi?

Uhm .....Yeah.....do you think that part about him believing in self rule. Kind of like, you know. Explains that?

Self-governance - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Self-rule is associated then in contexts where there is the end of colonial rule, absolute government or monarchy, as well as demands for autonomy by religious, ethnic or geographic regions which perceive themselves as being unrepresented or underrepresented in a national government.

It's not funny at all CJ. Can you imagine if the whole dust up with Jeremiah Wright videos happened near the end of primary season? Obama very likely wouldn't have gotten the nomination. And if he did get the nomination despite the videos, the Republicans would have used them more effectively. It's best to get the **** out there early so it looses it sting.

You missed what I meant - it was funny, in my view, that she's doing this for political reasons while claiming she detests that this is being used for political reasons. The hypocrisy just drips off the woman on a regular basis.

And Pan Am flight 103?

Heya CJ. :2wave: Here you go.....the Hillary Clinton Timeline and her words. ;)

Hillary Clinton Timeline:

April 19, 2012: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signs a cable proposing a plan to decrease security assets for the U.S. missions in Libya, including Benghazi. (NOTE: But when Mrs. Clinton herself visited Benghazi six months earlier, on October 18, 2011, she had the Defense Department pre-position assets off the coast of Libya, in case she encountered danger and needed rescue.)

* 10:08 p.m., September 12, 2012: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton releases a public statement linking the attack against the U.S. mission in Benghazi to the YouTube video, which she describes as “inflammatory material posted on the Internet.” “I condemn in the strongest terms the attack on our mission in Benghazi today,” says Mrs. Clinton, adding: “The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear — there is no justification for this, none.” <<<<< !

September 13, 2012: The Obama administration sends Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to deliver a televised statement denouncing not only the violence in Benghazi but also the “disgusting and reprehensible” video allegedly responsible for it, and stating “very clearly” that “the United States government had absolutely nothing to do with this video.” “We absolutely reject its content and message,” says Mrs. Clinton, emphasizing America’s great “respect for people of faith.”

* September 13, 2012: Hillary Clinton meets with Ali Suleiman Aujali—the Libyan ambassador to the U.S.—at a State Department event to mark the end of Ramadan. Ambassador Aujali apologizes to Mrs. Clinton for what he describes as “this terrorist attack which took place against the American consulate in Libya.” Mrs. Clinton, in her remarks, does not characterize it as terrorism. Rather, she says there is “never any justification for violent acts of this kind.” She also condemns the anti-Muslim video,.

* September 18, 2012: Reporters ask Hillary Clinton if Libyan President Magariaf is “wrong” in saying that “this attack was planned for months.” Mrs. Clinton replies: “The Office of the Director of National Intelligence has said we had no actionable intelligence that an attack on our post in Benghazi was planned or imminent.” She does not say whether she thinks Magariaf is right or wrong.

* September 21, 2012: Secretary of State Clinton says, “What happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack.”

* October 9, 2012: The State Department acknowledges that, contrary to the Obama administration's initial reports, the attack on the mission in Benghazi did not begin as a low-level protest that suddenly and unexpectedly spiraled out of control. The State Department now concedes that there were no protests at all in Benghazi before the deadly assault.

* October 10, 2012: The State Department claims that it has never believed, even for a moment, that the attack in Benghazi was carried out in reaction to a YouTube video. The Associated Press reports:

“Department officials were asked about the administration’s initial—and since retracted—explanation linking the violence to protests over an American-made anti-Muslim video circulating on the Internet. One official responded, ‘That was not our conclusion.’ He called it a question for ‘others’ to answer, without specifying.”

* October 15, 2012: In a CNN interview, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton takes the blame for what happened in Benghazi. “I take responsibility. I'm in charge of the State Department's 60,000-plus people all over the world, 275 posts. The president and the vice president wouldn't be knowledgeable about specific decisions that are made by security professionals.” “I want to avoid some kind of political gotcha,” she adds, noting that “we're very close to an election.”.....snip~

Let me be clear.....We got your ass Hillary. There is no justification for this..... NONE! And you WILL take RESPONSIBILITY. Whether you want to, Like to, or Not!!!!!

Good afternoon MMC - you're post shows me I was wrong about Hillary's involvement after the fact - she seems to have been quite involved, although not really in the national media since I basically don't recall seeing her at all. Thanks for the post, it was very informative.

Out for a fine dining experience - steaks and corn-on-the-cob grilled on the deck at my brother's house to celebrate my granddaughters birthday! *Others might call it a meal they didn't have to cook!* Back later....

Oooh you got technical.....but this changes nothing about whats been said. Okay, you say maters and I say tomato.

The whole issue of what Gadhafi is or was......means nothing now. Not with this conversation and what Benghazi is about in Association with BO and his Hill-Dog.

Here let me help you with some History.....its not hard to look up for one who is so intellectual like.

2008 January - Libya takes over one-month rotating presidency of the UN Security Council in a step back to respectability after decades as a pariah of the West.

2008 August - Libya and US sign agreement committing each side to compensate all victims of bombing attacks on the other's citizens.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi apologises to Libya for damage inflicted by Italy during the colonial era and signs a five billion dollar investment deal by way of compensation.

2008 September - US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice makes historic visit - the highest-level US visit to Libya since 1953. Ms Rice says relations between the US and Libya have entered a "new phase".

2009 February - Gaddafi elected chairman of the African Union by leaders meeting in Ethiopia. Sets out ambition of "United States of Africa" even embracing the Caribbean.

2009 June - Gaddafi pays first state visit to Italy, Libya's former colonial ruler and now its main trading partner.

2009 December- Diplomatic row with Switzerland and European Union after one of Gaddafi's sons is held in Switzerland on charges of mistreating domestic workers......snip~

Lets start with up to here.....what can you tell me with just this bit of information?

you did not like the answers of the other commitees because they did not directly blame Obama personally for what happened.

to be blunt: you are like the executionier whining that he has been denied his kill.

Were you avoiding the questions about the committees on purpose? You do know the difference when pointed out to you correct?

Did you need to read up on what a Select committee can do? Do you think Gowdy's depositions......are a clue?

i find it ironic that some people praise ghaddafi yet found justification for removing Saddam Hussein for essentially the same crime Ghadaffi committed.

You forget that after 9/11 Ghaddafi chose to renounce his weapons and his terrorist activities, at least outside Libya, and he had somewhat normalized relations with the west, something that Hussein never did. Hussein continued to ignore UN directives and to give the impression he had WMD if in fact he didn't have them.

This is not to say that either man is missed - the world is better off without them - but there is a difference.

You missed what I meant - it was funny, in my view, that she's doing this for political reasons while claiming she detests that this is being used for political reasons. The hypocrisy just drips off the woman on a regular basis.
Sorry, I just don't see the hypocrisy here.

Where is the Video footage of Gadhafi Bombing his people and committing genocide?

were you asleep during the entire libyan civil war?

particullarly during the conflict in misrata?

BBC News - Libya conflict: Gaddafi 'cluster bombing Misrata'

Pro-government forces in Libya have been accused by a human rights campaign group of using cluster bombs, which are banned by more than 100 countries.

Human Rights Watch said one of its photographers saw three mortar-launched projectiles explode over a residential area of Misrata, in western Libya.

A government spokesman denied the allegation, calling for more evidence.

New attacks by government troops have been reported in Misrata, the only western city still in rebel hands.

One resident, Aous, told the BBC he had seen indiscriminate bombing and shooting from 0630 (0330 GMT) on Saturday.

"I listened to bombing and shooting everywhere. And I saw smoke going up just a few metres from my house.

"The shooting was random in this area - there are families here. They didn't make a difference between any houses, just shooting."

As well as cluster munitions there have been a number of reports that Libyan forces are using the Soviet-designed Grad rocket system in their bombardment of Misrata.

The Grad, which launches multiple rockets from mobile launchers, has been blamed for a number of civilian deaths in recent days, including eight people in a bread queue. Reuters news agency reported large numbers of Grads fired into Misrata on Saturday.

and this?

Libyan forces shoot protesters - Africa - Al Jazeera English

Tens of thousands of protesters across Libya focused their attention on the capital on Friday afternoon, following the midday prayer.

As demonstrators in Tripoli took to the street, security forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi, the Libyan leader, reportedly began firing on them. At least six had been killed, according to the Associated Press news agency.

There was heavy gun fire in various Tripoli districts including Fashloum, Ashour, Jumhouria and Souq Al, sources told Al Jazeera.

"The security forces fired indiscriminately on the demonstrators," said a resident of one of the capital's eastern suburbs that has seen previous clashes between opponents of the regime and its remaining loyalists.

"There were deaths in the streets of Sug al-Jomaa," the resident said.
