For starters is was shown this morning that 39% of the people polled were not sure how they felt about Snowden long BEFORE this aired. To me he should have spilled his info to the press and remained here to fight for what he believes in? Let's not forget he went to Cuba. Last, I don't hold with what John Kerry or any politician says again until all the marbles are on the table. What must stand out above all is the FACT that the AMOUNT of info is unknown as Snowden said last night the inventory is a joke they don't even know what they have and anyone can have access to it. I for one did not know Snowden was only a high school graduate.......... pretty slick to work the jobs he was given with only a HS diploma!!!!!
Actually, he said he had a plane ticket to Cuba, but was trapped in Russia when the US revoked his passport.

Also, he said he doesn't even have a high school diploma, which makes the jobs he was able to obtain even more impressive. Is he a con-artist like that guy on the Catch Me If You Can movie with Leo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks?

Edit: Apparently he missed a lot of high school because of illness, so instead of continuing high school, completed a GED and then graduated college. Kind of mis-leading when he says he doesn't even have a high school diploma, but true.

And how have you or anyone you know been put in any danger whatsoever by any of Snowden's revelations?

Of course. National security violations endanger us all.

Do you propose releasing all classified documents?

QUESTION TO ALL: Had 911 not happened.......with today's technology and world paranoia would spying on US citizens be less than it is at present? To me this and all governments are very willing to spy on their own people without regard to law. It is the technological world we live in. If they care capable of doing it they will do it.

I asked the question to Maggie to show that her logic cuts both ways, but seeing as you're here now, please, by all means, show me the evidence that anyone whatsoever has been harmed, and I'd like names. Otherwise you're just making unsubstantiated wild guesses to fit your bias.

Specifics are not necessary. When national security is violated, it harms all Americans. If that were not so, you could advocate the release of all classified documents.

I am still on a wait and see mode with Snowden. We can reasonably expect his interview would be self serving and more than once in the interview I sensed that was the case to the point of him not being entirely truthful in his response. (I have a hobby of watching body language, voice inflections, eye responses, etc. and while not an expert, sometimes will get it right.)

But for me, the most compelling part of the interview was his explanation of how intrusive 'data mining' has become and is almost certainly utilized by people with power to control and/or hurt us. Who among us hasn't noticed that even as we are typing an innocuous post about "Joe the Plumber" a plumbing ad coincidentally appears. . . .or if we are discussing the automobile industry, the ad will be of a new car? Or such as that?

If commerce and industry or their advertising gurus have the ability and know how to track us to that extent, how can we know that our government is not using the same technology? And who is to say that there aren't tracking chips in our smart phones or in our automobiles or surveillance cameras wherever we go.

What I heard from Snowden last night is that Orwell's "1984" scenario of 'big brother' is much closer than any of us might be comfortable with if we knew how we are being monitored and tracked.

I haven't been. Neither would I be put in danger if he had revealed the names of in-country spies. But top secret is top secret.

Ok, then I accuse you of violating our national security. I don't need evidence, it's national security.

I'm betting more often than not you get it right. We come by those instincts naturally, so being aware of and honing them is a very powerful tool. Body language has always intrigued me. Some of us are better at reading it than others. I like to think I'm pretty good at it myself. Sometimes it's so obvious...one's body language is so far removed from the words coming from one's mouth.
