The reality is that I'm still paying student loans for my second master of science degree, and I'm pretty sure I'm quite a bit older than you. I paid off my first master of science degree from student loans in about ten years. The second one I don't even look at when its paid for, I just make the monthly payments.

    Why? Because its worth it.

    How's that for reality?

    You?

    Cost's at Walden:
Final cost for 4 years: $56,770
Final cost for 2 years: $29,180

    University of Phoenix:
    $22,100 for an AD
Cost of Bachelors Degree at University of Phoenix is $56,900. $34,800 for years 3 and 4 plus $22,100 for years 1 and 2, or $56,900

    Kaplan University:
    $371 per credit hour
    Associates Degree = 90 credits = $33,390
    $800 Technology Fee

    Bachelors Degree = 180 credits = $66,780
    $1,600 Technology Fee

The trend follows for each subsequent college listed. Like I said college is more than what you had to pay.
And again, I just did what you were too lazy to, googled it. Take a real look and you'll find a range from the highs I posted down to 10K. And again, there are community colleges (inexpensive) where you can take your AA.

Btw, college completion has dropped at near the same level as costs and attendance have risen.

You're out of your depth in this discussion because you refuse to do research.
Student loans are increasingly causing student debt that can not be payed off. All because no only is the college degree that is earned not assuring anybody will actually get a high paying career but when they don't get the career that they spent so much money in education for upon returning to minimum wage the income is not enough to placate the debt.

Its better than living on minimum wage.
Again reality is different from your world of fantasy.

You know what? Even though I deeply disagree with your worldview, I can see that you are a principled man and I respect a man of principle. There are a lot of people even in my country and I'm pretty sure especially in America who are quick to blame other people for their own situation like the immigrants.

Believe it or not there was a guy who told me just yesterday that the reason why he is unemployed for 6 years is because of polish people and the muslims taking all the jobs. I was shocked, but that's the kind of entitled people that exist in this world. Happy to sit on their backside on welfare because in their minds it's ok since it's other people's fault.

it's not reality . First of that is an anecdote. And your experience does not reflect the reality of what the majority of students are experiencing financially. Check the sources I have already provided.

You didn't post 10k. You posted a proposal that is being discussed. I'm talking about reality not a what if.

Community colleges offer an aa tops, which in turn is sill expensive for low income individuals and the pay off hardly allows them to recover from accumulated debt.

College completion is dropping because people can not afford to complete it. Thank you for making my point.

Your denial is amusing. Live on minimum wage. Enjoy...

You mean your denial in the face of evidence. It is quite amusing.

Facts are I have two master of science degrees courtesy of student loans, and a good paying job.

    You?

I'm guessing, based on your posts, that you aren't willing to make the commitments I did to get where I am today.

How's that minimum wage working for you?
