Teen ejected from prom after dads experience ‘impure thoughts’

The right she paid for when she bought a ticket? THAT right?
Nope, purchasing a ticket does not give a person an inherent right to attend a private event. If you dont believe me, ask the people who get kicked out of football games, concerts, NASCAR races, horse racing tracks and well.... proms.

Why?

As I understand it in the details of the OP her dress was well within the standards set by the school. It was long enough , not too tight etc.

For once the feminists got it right. She simply looks good and was penalized for it.

It may not be law suit worthy as you claim but the girl was wronged and the others who opposed her look and dress need to be shamed for it.

On another note - would her home-schooling parents have let her out the door if the dress was worthy of slut-shaming.

Actually you are all jumping to the conclusion that the men who were there to chaperone their own children had thoughts of lust about a teenage girl, based on her accusation.

that's right in there though:

Later the same chaperone who had complained about Clare’s dress pulled her aside to tell her that some of the dads felt her presence was “too provocative” and liable to cause “impure thoughts” among the males in attendance.

Granted, it's all one side of the story, but from what the one side is....

Geez, a guy with a gun says he "felt threatened" and the same people doubting this girl expect everyone to take it at face value. But in this case, well we know she's not telling the truth.

There are words for people like me? And what would those be?

Skeptical?

I think the story is a lie. There are words for people who spread lies, and invent stories.

You see, the meme is far too convenient - A bunch of horny homeschooling men can't handle a pretty young girl in a nice dress, so she's thrown out so they don't get too hot and bothered.

It's a laughable, and absurd accusation.

What, the men can't go out in public without getting hot and bothered by the provocative clothing other girls wear in public?

Not buying it for a millisecond.

ProgLibs really need to get a clue if they want to have their fantasies even slightly believable.

Ask the parents I don't know.

20 to 1, there's history that puts this story into context.

This reeks of small town politics.

I stated why in my post.

I think you're wrong.

And I'll go ahead and provide as many facts and credentials to my opinion up as you have for yours....

Such a tough choice to make.

I mean, on one hand you have this precocious little Lolita whore, commiting the most vile sexual acts with her ghetto black boyfriend (and future baby momma)right out there on the dance floor exposing and clutching at her skanky whore genitalia right there in front of the innocent children.

On the other hand, you have a bunch of fascist American Talibani who would give her a clitorectomy if they only could, and then throw her in Burka, all the while with their lewd male overlords ogling her and yelling out all the depraved things they would do to her innocent body before killing her for honor.

It's so hard to know which side to take.

So the girl is lying because of liberals?

LOL

Yea, that's it.

I don't believe her for a millisecond.

I do believe the multitude of Prog mouthpieces have grabbed onto the story and reported it because it fits the bigoted meme they want to push.

But I believe it's absurd to the extreme.

Are you talking about Miley Cyrus?

On that note, I give it about...6 months before Miley does some lesbo stuff on TV. For the ratings.

Her outfit was cleared. She followed the rules, she did nothing to warrant being told to leave.

Ask the parents I don't know.

Oh, sure ya do. People don't home school unless there are morals or values in place which preclude allowing their child to attend public school.

So she's lying because of the "Prog mouthpieces." Isn't that 2 separate things?

So she's lying because of the "Prog mouthpieces." Isn't that 2 separate things?

I think she's lying, and the mouthpieces are eager to spread the story because it fits their agenda. Pretty simple, and I know you get it.

Even allowing her version of events to be totally non biased and objective, if she knew the host group was religous and the event would have religous overtures, and she was really interested in staying, she should have erred on the side of wardrobe caution- not "can I squeek this by?" Thus, Booting her was reaonable.

Now, a secular host group would have different expectations about dress, dance etc. In that case, I would side with the girl.

I don't recall anything being said that the group was religious or that the event had religious overtones.

And from the reports, which I admit are one-sided, the girl wasn't asked to leave because she broke any rules. It was because her behavior might cause the boys to have impure thoughts. Now granted, there may be some overlap between that and breaking rules concerning appropriate behavior but I think the main motivation behind the criticism is the realization that these sorts of issues are not well-served by attempts to shield soon-to-be adults from things they're bound to encounter in the real world.

Oh, sure ya do. People don't home school unless there are morals or values in place which preclude allowing their child to attend public school.

Wrong parents home school for many reasons not always because of some value or moral.

More often because it simply educates kids better than government schools.

I get why they're eager to spread their agenda. I don't get why you think she's lying.

I get why they're eager to spread their agenda. I don't get why you think she's lying.

I think she's lying because of nature of the story, and how much of it is missing. If these "horndog, homeschooling" men were truly so twisted at the sight of a young girl in a tight dress, the dress code for the event wouldn't have allowed her to enter in the first place.

Clearly there is far more to her story, and far more to why she was asked to leave.

Let me add, I have a strong willed 35 year old daughter, who was once a strong willed teenager. My opinion is not formed from ignorance.

But I believe it's absurd to the extreme.

To me, one absurdity is that those that automatically jumped to the conclusion that she was lying somehow think that those who believed the young lady were being bigoted and absurd, while their conclusions were not equally absurd.

While it is correct for people to restrain the liberal's knee-jerk reaction, I keep finding that the conservatives here aren't holding themselves to the same standard.

A prom for homeschoolers. Now why am I not surprised that their dads are a bunch of backwards jerks?

I strongly doubt the men wanted her to leave, especially if they were ogling at her as she says. There's a lot of inconsistency in that story, first she blames the women, then the men. I think the fact that she turned up dressed like that knowing there were going to be middle aged men around says more about her than anything else. Maybe wanted to take one of them home?
