    So what?

The fact remains that, if the girls story is true, she was asked to leave the prom even though she did nothing wrong

Later the same chaperone who had complained about Clare’s dress pulled her aside to tell her that some of the dads felt her presence was “too provocative” and liable to cause “impure thoughts” among the males in attendance.
None of us knows exactly what did happen, or what was said. However, if she was told that her "presence" was the problem, then the chaperone was clearly in the wrong.

And if it was her "presence" that upset the chaperone, I suspect the dress had something to do with that.

Except she did and she was asked to leave because of it. Now she's desperately trying to shift the blame and the armchair feminists are buying into it because it forwards their script. It's useless to repost the lie as somehow being confirmation.

No, we weren't, we only know through the reporting. The reporting, from news outlets that aren't just repeating the original blog post, are all saying it wasn't the dress, but her behavior. And no, this was not a public school prom and not all dancing behavior was appropriate for the forum.

Interesting that she is the only one claiming to be kicked out.

Claiming ignorance doesn't cut it. Post #19. YOU even posted the link (which it turns out you haven't read). Funny thing, the very first paragraph debunks your stance.

You're not much for reading the articles are you? No school faculty- it was for HOME SCHOOLED kids, held in a Methodist Church. The chaperons were the parents of other home schooled kids. No Principal, no math or science teacher...

Since it isn't a formal school of any sort I doubt there is a LEGAL thing anyone can do about it, all puffery aside.

I also don't see this as an example of American Taliban as the OP has posted- unless American means so watered down no one is getting stoned to death. Just a few sexually frustrated adults who would have preferred another father/daughter purity dance so only Daddy's hands would be on the teen girls...

In a guest post on her sister’s blog, Clare reports how one of the women organizing the dance disapproved of her dress, even after checking to see it met the “fingertip length” dress code requirement. Later the same chaperone who had complained about Clare’s dress pulled her aside to tell her that some of the dads felt her presence was “too provocative” and liable to cause “impure thoughts” among the males in attendance.

While in the ballroom, Clare reports a group of dads on a balcony above the dance floor were “ogling” the teen girls in attendance, making Clare and her friends feel uncomfortable.

    What's wrong with this picture?
I think men are pigs sums it up nicely. There apparently were some serious uncivilized ungentlemanly oinkers at the dance that couldn't keep their traps shut. Shame.

What was the reason, Clownboy? All we have to go by is the OP. They said her behavior was "inappropriate" - what did she do besides wear a dress that some found offensive, even though it met their regulations - was she dirty-dancing or acting drunk or high, or something that isn't mentioned? This is too strange to be believed as reported.

    Greetings, Clownboy.

Whoever kicked her out of the prom is weak and stupid. I think we can agree on that one.

I never said anything about an American Taliban, neither. You're not much on reading posts, are you?

    Greetings, Clownboy.
I believe it said her dancing was inappropriate.

I like what Judge Judy says:

"Know when a teenager is lying? When her lips are moving."

Since it makes no sense that a bunch of dads would be getting PUBLIC hard-ons from a teenaged girl simply swaying to the music in an appropriate-length dress, I tend to think there's more to the story.

Oh contraire, you missed the change of focus in my post. The part about American Taliban was not directed at you but the OP. Again you are not much on reading posts, part deux! Helpful hint, stop and re-read any post you wish to reply to, give it a bit of thought before proceeding...

Sort of like reading the signs along a trail and giving it some thought before rushing along- may help avoid those annoying close ambushes...

Now about who is weak and stupid... attention to detail doesn't take a high IQ, nor strength. Getting the facts straight from the git-go was a mantra when I was in the Infantry. "Enemy soldiers in the treeline" tells a Commander little- are they mech, light, armor, artillery, cooks... 5, 10, 100,000.

I doubt the parents are weak or stupid, there was little, if any 'command' structure that a formal school would have- probably the best reason the chaperons seem 'weak'. Instead of stupid I'd say possessing an over developed sense of 'morality'.
