Perhaps you should be blaming the KKK instead of Michael Jordan, since his opinion as a teen was shaped by them.
"....In the book, titled "Michael Jordan: The Life," author Roland Lazenby described how Jordan grew up in the 1970s in North Carolina -- where Jordan said the Ku Klux Klan was dominant and that that atmosphere shaped his views on race....."
What a stupid thing to say.
The Klan was "dominant" in 1977 in North Carolina? Interesting. Dominant meaning they were roaming loose, wearing hoods & terrorizing him? The Klan really died out during the 1960s.
By the way, with all this brushing aside of Jordan's comments because he was "only 15", can I assume that you all feel that we should brush aside and forgive the hatred a 15 year old skinhead has for anyone who isn't white - simply because he's only 15? I would assume the answer is yes based on the "eh it was no big deal because Jordan was only 15, just a kid, didn't know better" comments that are throughout the 26 pages on this thread, more or less.
Did everyone miss that these were comments from a published interview in 1992?
Can I start a thread being outraged that Dave Winfield killed a seagull with a baseball in 1983 and get twenty pages of discussion?
Many Trump supporters have lots of problems, and those deplorables are bringing those problems to us. They’re racists. They’re misogynists. They’re islamophobic. They're xenophobes and homophobes. And some, I assume, are good people.
