I did see the president holding hands with someone, don't remember exactly who, but I think he was a Saudi prince or something. That was a few years ago, but I'm pretty sure the POTUS wasn't gay.

I'm not so sure about the Saudi, though.

Come to think of it, you very seldom see any adults holding hands while shopping.
actually in Arab culture it is common for men to hold hands and rest their heads on the laps of other men etc. Nothing homosexual about it. Just a different way of approaching the world.

    no not at all.

So if a store owner wants your business, they'd better get that sticker up.
Well that sounds right....or have a reputation that they don't discriminate. See it is information, by the way protected by the Constitution. It implies nothing about anyone else.

Pledge allegiance, or suffer the consequences.
Well no, don't discriminate or suffer the consequences. You understand you don't have a right to not suffer consequences of your actions right?

Correct, it is a cultural thing. Holding hands is not necessarily sexual.

So, we're back to there really is no way to tell for sure, unless the're making out in public or something.

    Anyway, who cares?

I've seen you do better than this. Come on, give it your all.

Wouldn't it just be simpler to post a sign or place a line in advertising saying "We don't want gay money, we don't want gay business"? But of course few business owners are that damned stupid. Few are actually willing to stand on principle when it means peeing on profit.

You have to wonder how many Mississippi preachers would be railing on against gay people if it meant a serious reduction of contributions to the church.

A sin is a sin. Gluttony is no less sinful than homosexuality as far as the bible is concerned, but you won't find preachers and politicians taking a stand against fat people in Mississippi.

You are not required to put up the sticker if you don't want to. So you're in the clear there.

This whole sticker campaign was started in response to the new law passed in MS that allows businesses to discriminate based on their "religious beliefs". Why shouldn't businesses be allowed to put up a sign that says "if you're buying we're selling"?
actually the law doesn't discriminate against anyone. it says that you can't be sued over religious beliefs as garenteed by the constitution.
it stops people from losing and having to close their businesses for expressing their faith.

if their business is going to fail then it should be done because they don't offer a service or product that the public wants. it shouldn't be lost in a court fight.

I don't care one bit about fish signs, or crosses, or any of that. You don't like it, don't shop there.
No one is demanding anything. Out of hundreds of thousands of businesses in MS 500 have stickers. Not much of a "demand".

If you don't like the "we don't discriminate" signs, don't shop there. It works both ways.

If I go into a store to buy wedding flowers, or a gift for my fiancee. Generally the sales person will ask questions like when is the wedding, what is their name, what do they like...
As a female if I say their name is Jane, then it is obvious. If as a female I am buying a gift for my fiancee and it's womens clothing, or womens jewelry, or womens perfume, it's kind of obvious.
Sales people ask all kinds of questions to try to up sale. Should homosexuals be rude and not answer, hide, lie?

There are any number of ways that people telegraph their orientation every day. Mentioning their spouse, weekend plans with their family, etc
