[h=1](CNN) - Barbara Bush made national headlines last year when she said on NBC that her son Jeb shouldn't run for president in 2016 because "there are a lot of great families. It's not just four families, or whatever. There are other people out there that are very qualified. We've had enough Bushes."[/h]And in an interview earlier this year on C-SPAN, the former first lady added that "I think this is a great American country, and if we can't find more than two or three families to run for high office, that's silly.
A new national poll indicates that most Americans agree with Bush, the wife of former President George H.W. Bush.
Sixty-nine percent of people questioned in a NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Wednesday said they agree, with a quarter saying they don't agree with her statements.

Every now and then all good Bushes need a little trim. Excellent call.

Jeb Bush seems like a somewhat agreeable guy to me I wouldn't have a problem with him being the GOP nominee

This next election, I am taking the ABC approach....

Anybody but Clinton.... LOL!

I hope that means not another Bush though. We barely survived the last one!

I am with you on this...BB is right, time for some new blood.

No more Bushes, Clintons nor Kennedys

When America wakes up in November 2016 and sees the choice is Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton, Barbara's going to have to go out and get herself a new inauguration ball gown. Mother of two Presidents - pretty neat accomplishment, if you ask me.

Or Adamses. Those uppity powdered-wig wearing freakshows

I don't trust those damn Roosevelts either

Or Harrisons. Though in total, Tippecanoe and his grandson Benjamin only served 4 years and 1 month.

I hope it doesn't happen. Her husband was a much better leader than her son.

We'll know long before November who the nominees are.

I'm hoping if that's the choice that Hillary wins. I want to see what kind of gown Bill wears.

I think it depends on whom the nominees are. Personally I think the same thing applies to Clinton. I would rather have someone else whose name didn't end in Bush or Clinton. But rarely does one get his way. Jeb Bush at the moment is in third place among potential Republican nominees behind Huckabee and Paul.

RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - 2016 Republican Presidential Nomination

Looking at all 10 potential nominees RCP lists, Bush probably would be my choice, not a happy choice, but a better choice than the other 9. But that is just my opinion.

here is RCP's list of potential Democratic nominees:

Although dead last, my choice among the Democrats would be Schweitzer. In fact listing all 16 potential nominees, both Republican and Democrat, Schweitzer would be my choice for president. But if the choice came down between Hillary and Jeb, I probably would have to go with Jeb. Not that I would be one bit happy with that choice, it would boil down to the least worst choice, Jeb over Hillary.

Barbara Bush should zip the lip....

How is it that America has to be tried of the Bush's when the leading candidate for the Democrats is the wife of a former president? Now that's a dangerous dynasty in my opinion, especially with their record of greed and lining of pockets.

But that's OK. It's OK to have father and son Adamses, neither of which stands out much, or two Roosevelts, both of whom stand out. But we don't count them I guess because one was a Republican and candidate for the greatest president in all time, and the Other was a Democrat who ruled like Obama, playing the poverty pimp but whose solutions were ineffective.

But this, Is suspect, is a metaphor for what has become American politics. Image.

It matters not what a person's abilities may be, or academic record for that matter, Obama having been hired with neither experience nor a CV...

What does count is his name, how he dresses, what family they are from and, anymore skin color.

Schweitzer is an interesting guy...He's half German, half Irish. Has a Jewish name, but he's Catholic. That last name will probably hurt him with some of the ill-educated. That said, he's aligned with the NRA, so he might pass muster with conservative dems and repubs.

I think her comment below was Barbara's way of including the Clinton's.

I don't want Hillary to win. But the idea that Bill would be the first lady...well the comedy itself may be worth it.

IMO, the last Bush is the reason we got the current Obama....
The GOP can only ignore our problems for so long before the public votes in a democrat.
