Newly released Benghazi documents reinforce that White House was pushing that video w

Re: Newly released Benghazi documents reinforce that White House was pushing that vid

No, that wasn't the issue. The issue was the president recognized a lack of evidence but was satisfied by a mere slam dunk comment, one Tenet said was meant not fir the evidence, but that it would sell. Such comment would not work for an honest rationale.

FFS... What part of "Off-Topic" are you having trouble understanding?

You try and turn every GD thread you don't like into a debate about Bush and Iraq.

Give it a rest.

Benghazi!*Benghazi!*Benghazi!*
Benghazi!*Benghazi!*Benghazi!*
Benghazi!*Benghazi!*Benghazi!*
Benghazi!*Benghazi!*Benghazi!*

I see, now that you can't deny that it came from the administration....you're going to claim he had nothing to do with it anyways?

lol, that's pretty desperate.

Misreading on your part. Try again.

I guess we'll all have to wait and see, but I think you're mistaken. I won't forget. Their names are Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Ty Woods. A United States ambassador was murdered. History will not forget this.

And I hope that if Hillary Clinton decides to run for the Presidency, her political opponents run non-stop vid clips of that irritated "What difference does it make?" in that shrewish voice.

Keeping their memories alive is quite commendable. I assume you have memorialized each of them along with the other 50 or so Americans that have been killed in attacks on American embassies (and consulates) over the years.

You miss the point again. I have no interest in what was said later. At the time they believed it.:peace

No, at the time, Bush said the evidence was weak. At the time Tenet said is a slam dunk that it would sell (which was the logic way the comment could work and have Bush or anyone else accept it).

Grim, I know you don't like it, but I've set up a perfectly acceptable rationale for this example. See above: history and precedence.

Sorry, but you're misreading the evidence, coloring the past with hindsight.:peace

Nope, not this nor Cheney's lie. Many knew it then and stated it then.

Of course you did. You decided in advance of the evidence. But how about returning to the OP topic?:peace

Nope, the evidence was available then.

Oh, you mean Benghazi rather than Bush? ;)

Sorry American, but according to Media Matters there is nothing new here.

The Ben Rhodes Email: Fox's New (False) Benghazi Attack | Blog | Media Matters for America
According to Media Matters, if a progressive liberal democrat did something, it's good. Doesn't matter what they did, it's good. If a Republican said it, worse a conservative Republican said it, it's evil, wrong, terrible, a lie... anything but good.

Media Matters is terribly predictable, completely insane and only trusted by the willfully ignorant.

Re: Newly released Benghazi documents reinforce that White House was pushing that vid

Does anyone believe that the Whitehouse could have realistically done anything in reaction to the event that would have saved lives?

I don't mean anything that would require a time machine. I mean anything they could have done during the event that would have saved Stevens or the others.

Because if not, then all you've got here is politicians spinning a story in their favor, and that's just what politicians do.

Its not just politicians spinning a story-- the man who made the video is in jail behind it-- the administration made it a point to target him.
The president repeated the canard of the video story on the international scene (and by castigating the USA)

Pull the other one.

He pled out on 4 of 8 charges of probation violation, and spent less than a year in prison. He's got ~2 years of probation left today. He created a international stir with his video, and apparently broke the law in the process. That has nothing to do with Benghazi, directly.

No doubt he was targeted, but if we wanted to hurt him we could give him to Egypt, who has sentenced him to death in absentia.

With or without Benghazi, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was looking to start trouble with the video, and earned what he got (though the Egyptian sentence was over the top.)

the only people still peddling this news don't seem to have a clue or a Cause.

Another one of your zero value responses. Makes me glad you're a liberal.

you make make me glad you claim to be an alleged conservative who may believe you are in the right, merely because you are on the right.

Re: Newly released Benghazi documents reinforce that White House was pushing that vid

Man ain't that the truth.
Then again, mobilizing ACORN wasn't a resume enhancer for Obama and look what happened.
Not having to worry about your "resume" getting vetted for public scrutiny is a luxury afforded to very few politicians_

Having Hollywood and the Main Stream Media in your corner is absolutely necessary to a rookie candidate with very little experience, zero accomplishments and a closet full of skeletons_

With the powerful forces behind Barack Obama; he likely would have even defeated Abe Lincoln reincarnated_

No, it's factually true nearly everything known after the invasion, was largely predicted before the invasion. If he wanted to know he was wrong, he could have.

No, when you know before hand, as many, many did, that's called foresight.
