christian biblical law, which many of the RW want enshrined in US law, calls for homosexuals to be destroyed as well, so explain to me how christian law is any better than islamic law on this subject? Both are barbaric on this subject.
 
At least Obama still has some respect. Nobody has thrown a shoe at him yet.

If Obama was Muslim, the Imam would have called for his head for being a smoker.

I must have missed that in the Qu'ran or Hadith. Can you point it out where smoking is an offense to Allah?

And really, is there a perfect Muslim or any follower of a religion? Certainly not...

I'm not a student of the holy Qu'ran, so I can't answer your question. My ingnorant perception of devoute muslim life and edicts is that Muslims should renounce vices such as tobacco. But isnt up to the Nation's Muslims to define haram? Some do outaw tobacco.

Christians just want them to pretend to be straight. The Muslims want to kill them.

As with all religions, what and who is devout or not is subjective. While I do not doubt that some forms of Islam may see smoking as haram, the act is more cultural. Hookah's have been used in the middle east since the 16th century and granted, they did not know of ill effects of tobacco until the rest of us in the 1930's. I guess my main point is that many things are considered haram, but it depends upon the individual and who is or is not devout is very subjective. I'll give a non-smoking example; Gold on men is haram that is in the Qu'ran. Yet if you ever get a chance to go to the ME, notice how many men wear gold.
 
There is lotsa stupid, but sometimes it slides over to the BEYOND stupid catagory, and it seems like I have heard this one before, probably just making the rounds again.
