Is it? Says who?Rather blasphemous for a self proclaimed Christian. A big no no...

Perhaps you have statistics on the number of detainees who've died from waterboarding in the last decade or so in US custody. To my knowledge, the number is zero - do you have other information?
It is rather surprising to see she still gets media coverage. Talk about your fifteen minutes of fame having expired long ago.
Goodness Gracious me, does this woman have no sense of decency.
Funny how waterboarding became torture when GW Bush was President. The left just needed something else to vilify Bush over, so they decided it was torture. Sorry, it's not, even if it helps you politically.
Also, notice all those smart, well thought out arguments against Palin. LOL! She's not the one that looks like an idiot from those comments.
Another brilliant retort. We are talking about torture, not death.
Is it? Says who?
Sacrilege is the violation or injurious treatment of a sacred object or person. It can come in the form of irreverence to sacred persons, places, and things. When the sacrilegious offence is verbal, it is called blasphemy. In a less proper sense, any transgression against what is seen as the virtue of religion would be a sacrilege.
I didn't claim that they did.
The difference between waterboarding and the death penalty is that some people think waterboarding is not torture. Even death penalty proponents don't argue that the death penalty doesn't involve somebody dying.
A pig is actually a good analogy here--except not for Palin but for the leftists here whining like pigs over ever word she says. I don't particularly care for the woman and she is in no way qualified to be president, but that was a witty comment. Leftist would laugh it up had it been John Stewart who said it, but are morally outraged when Palin says it. Just hypocritical, leftist, partisan, faux outrage, nothing more. This is a woman who thinks her ancestors shared the world with T-Rex...and practices witchcraft. What more can you expect from a pig than a grunt?
So what she said offends your religious beliefs? Or are you trying to tell others that they should be offended? If you have ever studied Christianity you will understand that one never compares sacraments for the sake of arguments. It is a sin to do so. Baptism is one of the 7 Sacraments.

Ever heard stories of people being executed who didn't exactly go quietly or according to plan? That's a lot like state sponsored torture, if you ask me..
Don't expect me to let my political ideology get in the way of a common sense argument simply because you are willing to.

Just hypocritical,
Don't ever stop being classy.
Its not hypocritical at all. At best she is using religious terminology in a way she shouldn't, but why should I care about that? The comment is funny. If her church or her God has some problem with it, that is between them. Face it, you are attacking simply because it was Palin saying it. If it was Harry Reid making such a statement in between attacking American citizens as "un-American" and "American Terrorists" you would keep your trap shut or rush in to defend it. THAT is hypocritical and disgustingly so.Except that the comment in and of itself is hypocritical for her. How deliciously ironic.

Well, your parsing legal terms here. I have no doubt that waterboarding is "torturous" for anyone exposed to it. Do I believe it is or should be illegal for terrorists plotting to kill untold numbers of innocent people - no!

And I enjoy pointing out the hypocritical nature of left wing loons.Of course I am. I enjoy pointing out the hypocritical nature of right wing religious loons like Palin. She waves the book of fairy tales around when it's convenient. She gets called out for it.

It is pretty funny that most of the same people screaming about waterboarding terrorists as a violation of their rights are more than happy to see accused terrorists assassinated by drone without a trial. They are so screwed up in the head that waterboarding is somehow more extreme than explosive dismemberment....
One gets the feeling that if Obama ordered GITMO bombed with all the inmates still in their cells that the left would be OK with it.
Waterboarding is baptism for terrorists. I like it. Creative and humorous. Good one Sarah.
