As described in the legal analysis waterboarding is not torture. As it seems to have been applied in three cases, where the frequency and duration must have been over the top, it probably could count as torture, though I am not sure. What I am sure of is that I would not want the then approved methods of enhanced interrogation applied to citizens or domestically. I wanted to know how bad it actually is and had tried it out and believe me, to describe the methods as then approved as torture is stupid. It is very unpleasant. A toothache is much worse.
Which "legal" analysis are you refering to?

Nothing like combining Christian baptism and torture. Hey but im sure it god all the wacko idiots at the NRA convention real fired up.
I tried to watch the video, but couldn't. It annoys the hell of of me when the audio is so delayed from the picture. Also makes me wonder if it's edited when you can't follow the mouth.

However...

I can see Sarah saying "Waterboarding Is How We'd Baptize Terrorists' If I Were In Charge." I love it!

Palin's point was funny. Terrorists aren't loveable Disneyland characters, their aim is to kill, maim and control through terror. Waterboarding should be used when it is deemed the terrorist has information and has proven uncooperative.

If it's good enough for our troops, it's good enough for the evil pricks who intend to do massive harm... or would you prefer we not waterboard and perhaps risk another 911 scale attack.
It is pretty funny that most of the same people screaming about waterboarding terrorists as a violation of their rights are more than happy to see accused terrorists assassinated by drone without a trial. They are so screwed up in the head that waterboarding is somehow more extreme than explosive dismemberment....

One gets the feeling that if Obama ordered GITMO bombed with all the inmates still in their cells that the left would be OK with it.

Interesting logic. If the government does it, it must be legal!

No, us heathen liberals have been screeching about that for ages now, and you guys keep criticizing us for doing that too. Make up your minds. The NSA surveillance thing? Remember the PATRIOT act and how all those hippies were mad about it? This is what they were talking about.

I do? Where?

Make up your minds.
How many minds do I have?

So I now I am in favor of the NSA and the PATRIOT act? I am shocked because that is soooo unlike me.

I would love to see those who suggest that waterboarding isn't torture actually get waterboarded and then afterward tell me that you weren't getting tortured. In fact I would pay money to see it.

Sean Hannity never followed up on his waterboarding bet. Shame.
