“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” ― George Bernard Shaw, Man and Superman
If he had any strength to his conviction, The President should pardon them rather than granting clemency.

I personally have no problem at all with non-violent offenders having full access to firearms, but Obama does, and he's being a hypocrite again.
A few years back I had a guy working for me. From his teens to his 30's he was a drug user and spent quite a few years in the clink. I think he said 15 years total but broken up over many separate times.
Anyway, he got to a point in his life where he said he had had enough and got clean and sober.
Voluntarily, he decided to return to his places of incarceration to deliver speeches to inmates to try to help these folks get and stay clean.
He studied his topics in depth and the foundation of his speeches was that there is no such thing as a non-violent or victimless drug crime. I can't remember the exact numbers but in a nutshell, for x amout of weed the was one murder, or 5 assaults, or so many acres of forest burned. One of his favorite sayings was "every bag of dope has someone's blood on it".
So it may be true that the drug user didn't personally victimize anyone, it is hardly a victimless or non-violent crime.
