Married ‘Christian conservative’ congressman caught making out with staffer | Death and Taxes

Louisiana Rep. Vance McCallister (R-Your Pants)–who is married with five children, ran for office as a “Christian conservative,” and was heavily supported and promoted by the cast of “Duck Dynasty”–has been caught on video getting frisky with also-married staffer Melissa Anne Hixon Peacock, who worked as his district scheduler.

Yep. Mrs. Peacock in the office with McCallister’s tongue–we do not know at this time if a candlestick or rope were involved.

The footage–which takes place in McCallister’s office–was obtained through unknown means by the Ouachita Citizen. The incident occurred on Dec. 23rd, two days before the celebration of the birth of his lord and savior, Jesus H. Christ. Before we take a look at that, though, let’s meet McCallister.

Oh look! There he is, being all family man like and bragging about his fabulous morality and religiosity! Oh, how McCallister wishes that the liberal scum in Washington cared about faith and family as much as he does. One can only assume he never got a chance to meet Anthony Weiner.

Par for the course for Louisiana Republicans. If he only had a diaper fetish he could be a Louisiana Republican Senator someday....;)

In all seriousness though, its not like Democrats don't have their share of sex scandals. The difference is the shear hypocrisy of the religious right / social conservative types when they get caught having one.

Every one knows to get to that position of office you never tell the truth. ask obama he will tell you

As per usual, someone's gotta try to make it All About Obama.

BTW, this married staffer he was carrying on with is the wife of his friend since childhood. Its one thing to have an affair, its another to have an affair with your life long friend's wife. More so while you sell yourself as a family values, Christian, socially conservative congressman.

Come on, why this is clearly a lapse in values, this is in no way standard for everyone on the right. Just as a dem caught in a lapse of judgement is a conviction of the entire left.

Are there any conservatives who are defending Mr. McCallister, and saying that there is nothing wrong with this conduct?

I do not think anyone claims that all conservatives are perfect. We certainly stand for much higher moral standards than liberals do, and yes, sometimes, someone among us falls short of these standards. If this is what it is being made out (no pun intended) to be, then I will join in with any liberals in condemning both Mr. McCallister and Mrs. Peacock for their inappropriate behavior and their violation of their marital responsibilities.

Other than that…

It doesn't even shock anyone anymore. Well, perhaps the spouses of these two will be a little shocked.

Just another Politican of the Month Caught with his Hands in the Cookie Bowl.

Wouldn't he know he had a cam in his office? Or did he have a sudden loss of blood flow to his puny brain?

If he weren't a conservative Christian standing for the good "Christian values" then I would not care that much about his cheating because that is largely a private issue. In France you can cheat and still become president because it does not mean a lot for your political views or your level of professionalism, but as said, this guy is all about Christian values and family and if you stand so strongly on those issues you have to live like you preach. Funny is that one of the Ducks is on the website of Vance McCallister calling people to vote for this cheating husband.

Its the hypocrisy. Its like Al Gore having a 30k a month electric bill. Its the hypocrisy of it all. Everyone hates a hypocrite and as to your "no one is defending him".... Well being its Louisiana, I doubt this will hurt his political future at all. After all, the Republican "Family Values" Senator from LA, David Vitter was a client of the DC Madam and had a diaper fetish and the guy has since been reelected.

As to this whole liberals have lower standards, I would bet a paycheck that conservatives do not have lower divorce rates than liberals. The difference is that these social conservatives go out and run on a whole platform of "Christian Values", "Family Values", "Protect the Sanctity of Marriage" all the while sleeping with a staffer or cruising parks and rest stops.

Democrats do not have lower values IMHO but different values and they largely stick to it (not all, I know there are hypocrites there too) but if you run on a platform of supporting family values, Christian values and being a loving faithful father and husband and if you then are caught with "your pants down" you have to expect public ridicule and negative comments.

You know how pathetic your post sounds? It is the so worn out excuse that "Yeah, our guy screwed the hooch but look at your guy."

Both damn groups do it. The astonishing thing is that if you are a public figure and think you can carry on like that. What the hell is their IQ?

Now go Google that list of Dems with their hands caught in the cookie bowl to make yourself feel better.

Considering your idea of "higher moral standards" is to project as much hateful venom at homosexuals as humanly possible, I wouldn't go crowing about that.

The only hypocritical thing I can see are those conservatives that aren't actively denouncing this guy that say those Muslim leaders that don't actively denounce radical Muslim actions at every turn and then claim that they are supporters, aren't doing the same thing with this guy.

The plain simple truth is this guy doesn't represent all Conservatives just like corrupt Dems and Muslims and Christians don't represent their own.

No you don't and shall you be reminded of the conservative "religious" people that molest little boys?

The more evangelical and tight assed they are, the more they like to play. So typical. She gets fired, he keeps his job.

Maybe one of you liberals can explain what this "non crime" is doing on the front page of cnn.com while the same web site refused to post even a link to stories of a democratic state senator arrested by the FBI for trying to smuggle $2.5 million worth of guns and MISSILES into the US...a champion of California's leftist war on guns to boot!

If he is found guilty then he indeed is a pathetic hypocrite like this sorry congressman caught on cam swapping spit with a friend's wife.

Once again forget the knee jerk partisan bite, what the hell is someone who is a public figure thinking they can get away with this crap? Idiots and hypocrites.

I'd say that he and the dynasty duck are cooked....

Boy it really feels good to be holier than him.

Bob is just projecting....and longing.

His conduct is inexcusable, and because of that, he has to answer to his constituents and his wife, not me.
