A new poll shows that just 26 percent of Americans support Obamacare, but at the same time only 13 percent think the law will be completely repealed.

Interesting results, I wonder how this will impact the november elections. Seems like bad news for the Obamacare dems.

Meh. I'm beginning to enter that magical time of life when I'll probably be seeing a doctor more often. It's nice knowing that I won't be dropped if I get sick, and won't be turned down because of pre-existing conditions. People who virulently oppose the PPACA have been doing everything in their power to disguise that these were problems Obamacare addressed, and Conservative replies my post will no doubt attempt to deflect from those improvements.

You might get dropped, or turned down because some bureaucrat changes the parameters of the coverage standards.

So in other words, I might get dropped if Obamacare becomes a different thing. That's a creative way to stay on the offensive.

You say that, as if Obamacare hasn't changed one bit since it was launched. Obviously, the government can change the standards at will. You really trust a system like that?

If you think they're going to drop the only two truly good things about the PPACA then I've got a bridge to sell you.

I didn't say they would. I said, "change the parameters of the coverage standards". Let's don't start acting like a change in Obamacare can't cause you to lose your plan.

Alright, well when that happens we'll discuss it. Until then I'm going to enjoy coverage that can't drop me and or deny me for pre-existing conditions. Which, I should probably remind you, you can enjoy too.

Millions of people have been dropped since Obamacare was enacted.

Because of getting ill or pre-existing conditions? Or was it because the coverage didn't live up to basic standards?

Spin it how you want; the government forced their provider to drop them. You said that can't happen.

Yeah, I'll "spin" it. Those plans weren't dropped because of pre-existing conditions or getting sick. They were dropped because they sucked crap.

Which means that one day the government could determine that your plan sucks crap and drop you, even if you're sick. Millions of sick people have been dropped since Obamacare was enacted.

So basically, all you really have are "yeah but they might" arguments. Those are never very compelling.

No, I'm using the, "they already have, so don't be so naive to think they won't again", argument.

ditch it and put everyone on medicare. that program enjoys a lot more popular support, and is designed better than the ACA.

So? If the people liked them, why couldn't they keep them?

It's interesting how Liberals are now in the business of deciding what people should purchase with their own money. The Nanny State works for you, but not for thinking people. This is America, and politicians shouldn't get to decide what's "good" for an adult.

and neither should corporations.

we can vote out politicians, we have no such power over the lobbyists.

But we don't vote out the corrupt politicians, which is why people like Harry Reid, Maxine Waters and Charlie Rangel keep headed back to DC. Sorry, not in agreement with you. The lobbyists don't send scoundrels to DC, the people do. The lobbyists just pressure them into more malfeasants. All of them.
