PLUNGE: New poll shows Obamacare support at 26%

Of course, if you actually read the article (beyond the headlines) there is no change in opinion from 4 months ago. There was no "plunge"... Its not news but rather political porn at its best.

BTW,,, the cons will have a good night in November. It will be a bit of a last hurrah as they will be shellacked in 2016 in the White House and Senate.... especially if they do something stupid like become enamored with power and even utter things like "impeachment"....

Lets find out together.

Yes, Im afraid you wont pay up when the time comes. You are a lefty after all!

Cons are such cowards. Thank you for proving my point. We have mods here who can keep any cash until such time. So you make excuses. You are a Con after all.

Like I said, lefties have a well established history of cheating, lying, or anything else they feel is justified. You have no value to me, kid.

TheNextEra is right, that is extraordinarily cowardly.

Perhaps you have missed the news headlines, all of those democrats busted for corruption recently (even losing the supermajority they held here in california as a result)-but leftists can't be trusted. That is all.

Just as the plunging popularity of the ACA is what it is. :2wave:

Interesting results, I wonder how this will impact the november elections. Seems like bad news for the Obamacare dems.
This is literally the 'hope & change' you voted for, people. Hop to it and sign up so you can lose coverage, pay *more*, and have your identity stolen. This is what you wanted so STFU and get to it.

If you're not a gambling sort of guy, just say so. I trust someone to own up to their bets until they've personally demonstrated that they can't.

Meh. I'm beginning to enter that magical time of life when I'll probably be seeing a doctor more often. It's nice knowing that I won't be dropped if I get sick, and won't be turned down because of pre-existing conditions. People who virulently oppose the PPACA have been doing everything in their power to disguise that these were problems Obamacare addressed, and Conservative replies my post will no doubt attempt to deflect from those improvements.

You are absolutely correct. While we are on that subject, I think I should be able to invest my social security earnings-rather than continue to fund a sinking ship.

Its like everything liberals touch turns to manure.

If the government took that same money out of your check and put it in a roth ira, you would likely be a millionaire by retirement.

Instead, you'll be lucky to see a subsistence allowance.

Absolutely, and yet this is presented as virtuous by the left. There are better ways, for all involved I think.

If you think they're going to drop the only two truly good things about the PPACA then I've got a bridge to sell you.

Then get your bridge ready because people have been dropped from the plans they were told they could keep, BECAUSE of Obamacare.

Care to wager on that slick? Or are you afraid to put your money where your mouth is.

I don't think Obamacare is the only thing against them, but polling shows they are in trouble. Frankly I think Reid is their biggest weakness.

Ignorance. Your talking point has been covered to death.

If you served in any branch of the military, and if you were honorably discharged, your medical might be next to free. You may need to submit to a means test so they can determine your ability to pay or not pay.

I'm a veteran and I receive my medical care free of charge, I do need to pay co pay for medicines. VA medical cares meets the ACA requirements.

Good to know. Sadly, however, armed conflict gives me a rash.

Like myself, many veterans are eligible for Veterans benefits who don't even know they are eligible.

If people are reading these forums, and if they have served honorably, it might be to their benefit to check and see what's available for them.

All they'd need to do is contact their local VA office, being sure to have their SS number, dates of service, and branch of service information available.

It doesn't matter how it happened, it happened. The only things that has changed is that Obamacare is now in effect. And its execution is a total disaster, no matter how Obama and his media sycophants try to embellish it.

Support prior to its passage was below 50% yet the Dems pushed it through by measures not in keeping with traditional passage of a bill/legislation/act. That is what increased the discontent by voters. Then when Pelosi made the remark, "you have to pass the bill to know what's in it" did provide encouragement for those that were against it. They passed a bill that was ill written, not understood only to pass it and claim victory. Now we, the taxpayer will be suffering the ill effects while, they, the Dems try to convince us it is "all good".

For those of us that had affordable, comprehensive coverage and have already or will be losing it in 2014; we are not impressed. There is no reason to believe the cost of premiums will go down without deductibles increasing. We already have seen providers opt out of Exchange plans that reimburse below medicare levels. And the number of providers refusing to treat Medicaid patients will be increasing as it is not cost effective to treat them.

It wasn't just that, though unilateral passage of the bill certainly hurt it. It was the constant revelations that the bill was not what it was presented as. Cutting costs-nope. Keeping your doctor-nope. Not a massive wealth distribution scheme to insurance companies, and to the old from the young-nope.

Ridiculous. Let's pick this up when it's actually taken effect and implemented for a year. Conservatives have been calling it a "failure" since it was voted in.

Interesting results, I wonder how this will impact the november elections. Seems like bad news for the Obamacare dems.

But Ed Shultz said on his radio show today that more people are now for obamacare than are against it. I'm so confused.

Reid is the Dems biggest weakness. The problem is though the GOP can be the GOP's worst enemy. Case in point, when Reid was a shoein to be ousted the GOP put their bat**** crazy angle up as his opponent. It's like the GOP wanted to lose.

What the polls never seem to tell is that a big chunk of the people who don't support the ACA don't support it because it is too conservative.
They would rather see a single payer system...medicare for all.
Polls that break the questions down have always demonstrated this fact.
Polls that simply ask a black and white question give false indications making it seem as though two thirds of Americans don't like the ACA because it is too liberal. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The law is a centrist compromise and sits right in the center of American opinion.
The poll finds that 46 percent support the law, versus 54 percent who oppose it or are unsure of their feelings about it. But that second bloc breaks down into 33 percent who oppose and want repeal, versus 20 percent who oppose the law and want to let the law go ahead. That means a total of 66 percent either support the law or oppose it but want it to go forward.
More Polls Show GOP Misreads Public on Obamacare - US News
A new CNN poll on the Affordable Care Act is generating quite a bit of attention, but if you only look at the headlines, you’re missing the real story.

The top-line results aren’t especially surprising: 54% of the country opposes the health care law, according to the new figures, while 43% support it. But the CNN poll, to its credit, takes the next step and asked folks opposed to the law why they don’t like it. And that’s the point at which the poll gets interesting.

I put together this chart to help drive the point home – 43% support “Obamacare,” which isn’t that bad, all things considered. But while a majority of the country opposes the law, there’s a major disagreement among them – 35% of opponents believe it’s too liberal and prefer a more conservative law, but 16% of opponents believe the Affordable Care Act is too conservative and wish it had gone further.

A quick glance at the top lines, in other words, gives the wrong impression. Indeed, it’s rather misleading to lump together those 16% of Americans who want a more liberal health care reform law with the law’s conservative critics.

Your confusion is understandable if you only see the poll results that the cons want you to see. Ask the next question (as this CNN did) and you find out only 35% of the nation oppose the ACA because it is too liberal.
