Absolutely, and yet this is presented as virtuous by the left. There are better ways, for all involved I think.

I don't think Obamacare is the only thing against them, but polling shows they are in trouble. Frankly I think Reid is their biggest weakness.

If you served in any branch of the military, and if you were honorably discharged, your medical might be next to free. You may need to submit to a means test so they can determine your ability to pay or not pay.

I'm a veteran and I receive my medical care free of charge, I do need to pay co pay for medicines. VA medical cares meets the ACA requirements.

Good to know. Sadly, however, armed conflict gives me a rash.

Like myself, many veterans are eligible for Veterans benefits who don't even know they are eligible.

If people are reading these forums, and if they have served honorably, it might be to their benefit to check and see what's available for them.

All they'd need to do is contact their local VA office, being sure to have their SS number, dates of service, and branch of service information available.

It doesn't matter how it happened, it happened. The only things that has changed is that Obamacare is now in effect. And its execution is a total disaster, no matter how Obama and his media sycophants try to embellish it.

Re: PLUNGE: New poll shows Obamacare support at 26%

Support prior to its passage was below 50% yet the Dems pushed it through by measures not in keeping with traditional passage of a bill/legislation/act. That is what increased the discontent by voters. Then when Pelosi made the remark, "you have to pass the bill to know what's in it" did provide encouragement for those that were against it. They passed a bill that was ill written, not understood only to pass it and claim victory. Now we, the taxpayer will be suffering the ill effects while, they, the Dems try to convince us it is "all good".

For those of us that had affordable, comprehensive coverage and have already or will be losing it in 2014; we are not impressed. There is no reason to believe the cost of premiums will go down without deductibles increasing. We already have seen providers opt out of Exchange plans that reimburse below medicare levels. And the number of providers refusing to treat Medicaid patients will be increasing as it is not cost effective to treat them.

It wasn't just that, though unilateral passage of the bill certainly hurt it. It was the constant revelations that the bill was not what it was presented as. Cutting costs-nope. Keeping your doctor-nope. Not a massive wealth distribution scheme to insurance companies, and to the old from the young-nope.
