Heya Sawdust. Well Putin has also told the EU Russia will reciprocate on their sanctions too.

Russia says it will retaliate against EU sanctions

Russia sharply criticized the European Union on Tuesday for imposing sanctions on Russian officials and lawmakers involved in efforts to make Crimea part of Russia, and said it will retaliate.

"Attempts to speak to Russia in the language of force and threaten Russian citizens with sanctions will lead nowhere," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"The adoption of restrictive measures is not our choice; however, it is clear that the imposition of sanctions against us will not go without an adequate response from the Russian side.".....snip~

There's not much difference between the White House and the Kremlin at this point. It's funny to watch two power hungry wannabe autarchs play tit for tat.

There is one difference. Obama is still able to deceive many of the right wingers into believing that he's trying to be serious, as opposed to deliberately lying.

krauthammer is just a war-mongering kook who wants US taxpayers to continue subsidizing the reckless Israeli govt.

As for Putin's means of retaliation, he could--if he wanted--change his mind about delivering S-300 or S-400 missile defense systems to Iran, OR decide to kick Exxon out of Russia, make life miserable for it there AND the other OPEC countries that are friendly to Russia OR nationalize all its assets in Russia.

The US Congress, of course, routinely gets down on its knees and sucks Rex Tillerson's cock, so anything Exxon wants, Exxon gets. . .

Calls to escalate Russia sanctions leave EU in a quandary

What do you do when sanctions run out?" he asked, leaving hanging the inference that the EU does not want - and could not afford - a more physical confrontation with Russia.

In the end, the ambassador's country joined the rest in unanimously agreeing the measures which were less tough than sanctions imposed by the United States.

Austria is among the doubters. "Sanctions don't solve problems," said Chancellor Werner Faymann. "The solution can only be getting to negotiations."

"We have done what we said we could do, but, yes, the U.S. is from Mars, we are from Venus," said Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who wanted at least four more names on the EU list but was rebuffed by other member states.

"I would suggest that we are not overly enthusiastic when it comes to introducing sanctions, because we will pay for it."

    Actually there is a difference.
Putin is invading a foreign country, and by his own words, starting Cold War 2.0

Are you enjoying the weaknesses of a FREE society in your mind?
That Putin has a rubber stamp for a congress versus FREELY elected and ACTING Senators and congressman.
Since adjectives/adverbs are acceptable on this forum but nouns aren't, do you enjoy "stabbing" your Nation in the back.
Just because you served doesn't mean "seditionist" actions are acceptable .
