Ron Paul slams US on Crimea crisis and says Russia sanctions are an 'act of war'

His son is representing one of those moronic right-wing tea-tard states where the people don't understand big words like "liberty", "capitalism", etc.

SO if he wants to stay in office, he'll have to ignore his father and instead do the monkey dance that appeals to the aforementioned voters. . .

"Prolife, nuke the arabs, deport the spics, kill all the fags, GUNS GUNS GUNS HELL YEAH!"

The apple fell far from the tree, rolled to the airport, and flied halfway across the world. I am very disappointed in Rand.

Yep... Pretty much.

You forgot the part where Russia comes half way around the globe to intervene and prevent the Texas/California secession. I mean, technically, that's what the USA is doing, right?

Our forefathers, who fought and died for the right of self-determination and independence are rolling over in their graves right now.
Would you say Lincoln was one of our 'forefathers'?

I suspect if there wasnt such a total void in leadership for the last 5-6 years, this would not have happened. Now...anything Obama does makes him look even more like Putins bitch. Sad when the best answer you have is to do nothing.

I think it is much sadder to have some Americans feel that it is our place to act all Billy Bad-Ass and value bravado more than sensible policy. Of course, everything's Obama's fault. That terrible winter we just went through up here? You guessed it! Obama's fault!

But I happen to disagree with Obama on Crimea. He needs to keep our big fat intruding nose out of it.

Actually CJ's 'example' is less than useless. The situation isn't close. One area is nooo way close to another... I am VERY relaxed... pointing out total fails in debates is quite relaxing.

Actually, it's rather arrogant. But if stomping on other people's opinions is what gives you your Hardcore Jollies go right ahead and stomp away. Just don't become too annoyed with the favor is returned.

The Ukrainian president was ousted after rejecting a Pro-European deal. There were revolts and he loses his job. That tells me that most Ukrainians were for the deal. But, if Crimea is mostly pro-russia, would they not want to reject the deal and go with the stronger russian economic ties? Makes sense to me. But when the President was ousted and a Pro-european interim president is in, it makes sense to me that Crimea would want to break from Ukraine and join Russia. Whether or not Crimea's vote to become independent from Ukraine is legal or not has nothing to do with us. Crimea and Russia both wish for it to join (seems they already have) and Ukraine does not.
I still don't see what this has to do with us. Why should we throw our support (meaning money) to Ukraine? And to sanction Russia for allowing Crimea to join them? Doesn't seem like we should.
If there was some proof somewhere that Russia forced Crimea to leave Ukraine and join them, then I get it. Until then, it doesn't seem any of our business.

As I said w/ Syria...he needs to either do something or dont. Acting like a bitch just makes you..well...a bitch. He has zero by way of credibility. He has been absent in foreign relations. OK...fine...he is out of his league...just accept it. Dont make things worse. Obama continually makes things worse.

Ron Paul can slam his head against a foreign dictators croch.

Russia invades Ukraine, is an "affront," but sanctions are an "act of war."

Oh Ron Paul. You card.

He actually believes taking someone's money is worse than invading a country.
