Report: Ukrainian base in Crimea under siege - Europe - Stripes

KIEV, Ukraine — A Russian military truck broke down the gates of a Ukrainian base in the Crimean port city of Sevastopol and the installation is under siege by Russians on Friday, the Interfax news agency reported. No shots have been fired.
About 100 Ukrainian troops are stationed at the base, Interfax reported, citing a duty officer and Ukraine's defense ministry. About 20 "attackers" entered and some threw stun grenades, the report said.
The Ukrainians barricaded themselves inside one of their barracks, and their commander began negotiations, Interfax said.

Heya Mac. :2wave: Yeah they took it without a shot being fired. I have it up in here too. Also the Turks scrambled fighters due to a Russian plane that flew along the coast. Which was around when we sent a Destroyer into the Black Sea.

The People of Crimea and Russia share deep ethnic and cultural ties, they will work it out.

Kinda like Texas and Mexico, right?

btw, heard of the Tatars?

Maybe it would be helpful if we let them do just that without our interference. The Euro zone has already decided to stay out of it, and just continue business as usual with Russia, and they're certainly a lot closer than we are to what's going on! And are there any other countries sending ships and planes to the area, other than the naval maneuvers that were planned previously?

Greetings, 24107. :2wave:

Mexicans and White people fighting is different than two white closely related Slavic people fighting.

And one plus one equals two.

That's one of the dumbest things I've read in a long time.

Soif part of Texas decided to join Mexico, you'd say "sure, why not?" ?

p.s and it doesn't matter to you that Crimea is violating it's own constitution while Russia violates international law?

It's not, the white texans and the brown Mexicans do not share the same close ethnic and cultural ties as Russians and crimeans.

Pointing out simple facts is all, it's shows a difference in kinship which matter in conflict.

People are colors to you, huh? There are plenty of "brown" people in Texas...

How about the fact that ethnic Russians are a minority in the Crimea, and that there are other ethnicities there? How about the fact that Russia has invaded a sovereign nation? How about the fact that the Crimea is violating it's constitution?

Inconsequential, I suppose?
