John Kerry made the offer (some believe unscripted) as a means for president Assad to avoid US military engagement, he might surrender his WMD. To witch Putin said splendid, we can do that. When complete, there will be one less country with them. Next we need to work on Israel, the US, Pakistan, India, etc..

It certainly seemed unscripted to me. Kerry threw that out "offer" there as a wild hypothetical ... the look on his face basically said "yeah, right, Assad's really going to give up his weapons." When Assad (through Putin) actually accepted the offer, I was surprised as hell. That was, I think, Kerry and the Administration falling ass-backwards into a win-win situation.

To conservatives, there's only one option: war, which is why we need to deport them from the US to quit wasting our taxpayer $$ on mindless military ejaculations.
 
Which side of the GOP were you on, the ones that wanted to bomb Syria, like Rep. Tom Cotton in nearby Arkansas who is running for the Senate?
Or Sen. Rand Paul and his Snowden-supporters?
Or the 'I have no opinion because there's an election sometime in the future' GOPs ?

I completely agree. Assad gets rid of his WMD and the US avoids another military engagement. Win win.

I'm on the side which believes that the CIC should be ready to put up, or shut up.

If he wasn't ready to go hot, he should have never made threats to do so.

What'd Obama do? He shot his mouth off and while he was busy hiding behind Congress' skirts, Putin maneuvered a naval task force between our ships and Syria basically sayng, "do it! I double dawg dare ya!". At which time, Obama had to back down, allowing him to, "be clear", that he is a great big candy ass and can be easily intimidated.
 
So basically I'm seeing a bunch of American posters who are all gleeful that millions of people in the Ukraine might find themselves occupied by Russia against their will, while their country's autonomy is decimated and they are re-sucked back into the new USSR... all because it gives them yet another opportunity to bash Obama.

Not every ****ing thing in this world is defined by American partisanship, folks. There are real people in Ukraine, people who have been robbed blind by a corrupt president who they finally manage to drive out of office, only to discover that the Russians have dusted him off, invaded their country and potentially plan to reinstall him as Moscow's puppet back in Kiev once the country has been fully occupied. And all you neanderthal knuckledraggers can think of is, "herp-derp OBAMA yuk-yuk-yuk."

Disgusting.
