Oh.....its a done deal Navy. Just a handful of bigots hanging on and desperately clinging to their last vestiges of discrimination. America has grown up.....its time to get on board.

Oh...its definitely a done deal at this point. Just a handful of bigots still desperately clinging to their last vestiges of discrimination. Most of America has grown up and moved on.

These arguments about judicial rulings are ridiculous. "That judge should be disbarred for disregarding the constitution.".. Let me let you in on a little secret. For all intents and purposes, the constitution is what the federal judiciary says it is. What some Joe Blow thinks about what is constitutional or not is irrelevant. The ultimate arbiters of what is or is not constitutional is the federal judiciary. In this case, Judge Heyburn stated this:

“In the end, the Court concludes that Kentucky’s denial of recognition for valid same-sex marriages violates the United States Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection under the law, even under the most deferential standard of review. Accordingly, Kentucky’s statutes and constitutional amendment that mandate this denial are unconstitutional,”

Judge Heyburn is a federal judge, so unless his ruling is overturned by a higher court, then Kentucky's denial of recognition for valid same-sex marriages is unconstitutional regardless of what anyone else thinks. That is how our system of government works.

Yeah, you guys really take this personally. Why do you spend so much time resisting someone else getting married? How does this affect you?
