    Again, equal protection applies. If your state recognizes out-of-state marriage certificates, it must also recognize out-of-state marriage certificates of same-sex couples. Equal protection under the law applies to gender-based distinctions.

    You are wrong. The ruling is not unconstitutional, you just have no idea how the constitution works.

    Okay, well apparently a federal judge disagrees and Kentucky has to abide by it until further appeal. So it kinda seems like you're irrelevant at this point, actually.

    The 14th amendment applies to states. A state can choose to not recognize any marriage, but if it chooses to recognize any marriage it must do so abiding by the 14th amendment. My state can't choose to ignore interracial marriages no matter how many times you scream about the 10th amendment.

    yes, that probably would've happened, but we're talking about what's legal. Aren't you arguing about legality? Or do you not care? (Not an idle question, I often don't care about the law...is this one of those times for you? That's cool if it is, but then you can't cite things like the Constitution to back you up).
