Did I say he was a victim? Did I whine about it? Or are you just criticizing things I didn't say because you have no ability to criticize the things I do say? I said he wasn't happy about it but I didn't say he whined about it or was victimized by it. Those are your words. Try to focus on what I say not what you wish I said.

Why would he join if he wasn't happy about it?

There's pull yourself up by your bootstraps and then there is pull yourself up by the bootstraps. The first one implies using your own resources, the second implies using resources aside from self meaning help from other people. I can't decipher which one you guys are arguing about.

They are arguing just to argue. There is no real point to this thread. Not sure why I am even wasting my time.

actually, there is an excellent purpose this thread is serving
many of us recall the reich wing celebrating joe the plumber single handedly taking on the president when he was a national candidate
only we now see said 'plumber' ensconced in a union job at a corporation bailed out by the government. we see that reich wing poster boy benefitting from the very programs he very verbally opposed
joe the plumber is once again the spokesmodel for the reich wing ... this time around, very visibly demonstrating its inclination towards hypocrisy
we are negotiating about dividing a pizza and in the meantime israel is eating it

You said you dont care about him, then launched into an attack. That shows you care.

That's what the thread's about. My contention is that we shouldn't care about this guy unless he suddenly decides to run for office again.

Once again, you have not read the article attached to the OP. It's right there. You're embarrassing yourself. Honestly, I'm done with your foolishness.

Careful. Fletch doesn't work well with facts.

So if I buy a GM am I a hypocrite because I opposed the bailout? That is just utter nonsense. I oppose virtually everything the government does but because it does things that impact virtually every aspect of my life that doesn't make me a hypocrite.

Not sure what "CONS" you guys keep referring to, but I am the only one arguing this side so you might just address me so we can further the discussion a bit.
