How the hell do you know what he thinks?

Who the hell are you Nostradamus?

I can't speak for Joe, but I can about my own experiences - and I didn't appreciate them at all. they ripped me off.

I'd much rather prefer working as a general contractor.

But if Joe is as disenfranchised as I am with our present government an the numerous bureaucracies in every state that wants every worker to be a union licensed worker........ Then odds are the man feels the same way I do.

The problem is that the man probably is just as angry as I am but has more to lose than I do.

But you can only speculate on his intent - meanwhile I'm telling you mine.

then your earlier post was a lie. quell surprise! now you finally admit that there is NO union prerequisite to become licensed. you just made that **** up

Of course then the only way these guys can get work is if they find potential customers you ****ing hate unions...
because people believe trade unions stand for something. quality work and brotherhood. qualities not found so much in corporate America

Unions should be illegal because they violate monopoly laws.
making more **** up, again. being in a union might be more desirable - because the union has already established a stable, safe and well compensated workplace - does not make it a monopoly. all you have to do is start a non-union shop and compete against the union companies. it's that easy. and because it's that easy, it means your claim of 'monopoly' is total bull****. you have the ability to compete ... but do you have what it takes to compete and succeed. i am guessing no, since you show no inclination to try

    If I was a politician
well, you have the bull**** part down

... I would make it my ****ing business to destroy all labor unions and institute right to work....
and you don't even need to be a politician to do this. all you need to do is begin a non-union business that competes with the union to such a degree that the customers want to buy from you rather from the unionized company. that's how you put them out of business. i look forward to all of your excuses why you cannot do this

Hard working people shouldn't be forced to join a POS union just to feed their families..
well, we agree on something. there should be no compulsion to join a union. i believe if you will report to the police exactly who pulled a weapon on you and coerced you to sign up with a unionized company that they will offer you satisfaction and pursue that rogue. but i am speculating that you joined the union of your own free will. because the opportunity at a unionized work place was much better than what was available but un-unionized. you want the benefits of unionization, only you don't want to have to pay for them. time to grow up and recognize that you get what you pay for. don't want to pay union dues, then find non-union employment ... and quit whining because you made that choice

The best part is that my great-great grandfather was a union big shot delegate here in Chicago in the 30's - now I want to destroy it all.
my story is quite the opposite. my Grandfather was one of the hired guns who worked for the mill owners in the south. he was paid to quell any union sentiment, prior to and during the depression. that knowledge is part of what drove me to become a union activist, initiating bargaining units, serving as a union president, and establishing an entirely new "mixed" union of public and private sector employees

Also unions didn't do a goddamn thing for me besides steal 100 bucks a month out of my paycheck calling them "union dues."
and yet you voluntarily stepped up to accept a unionized job knowing you would be expected to pay union dues. i m sure there is a word for someone who voluntarily elects to do something and then whines about having to do it

Considering his celebrity status he has had his opportunities. I seriously doubt Chrysler held a gun to his head.

In some areas the only way to get a license to be a plumber is if you join the local union.

Hell, I'm anti-union and at one point I had to work for a union to pay bills and resented every second of it (not the job but being part of the union).....

So, it's not funny - it just goes to show how much unions actually control.

A lot of people want to complain about the rich - well how much money do you think these union bigheads make???? These guys make 8 figures and use union dues to contribute to politicians that will keep them in those positions.
Unions are Big Business, in it for themselves, and luckily many working people have recognized this. They were valuable at a certain time in history but no longer. Now they are no better than a protection racket.
