Cnn: Pentagon illegally destroyed photos of dead osama bin laden

The Pentagon is largely run by military personnel. Admiral McRaven was the one who supposedly ordered the photos destroyed. I'm sure you know that admiral is a military title.

I have no idea why they were destroyed. I'd rather they weren't. But like clockwork, you turn this into a civilian vs. military issue and make it All About Obama.

Yes, that's true. But Admrial McRaven's position was head Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). He had direct contact with the President and can call the President any time he wants. He also had a secret budget. Now he runs the whole United States Special Operations Command. That means he's in charge of all our special forces.

So the body was dumped at sea, all the photo evidence is destroyed, the SEAL Team that conducted the raid died soon after in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. So no evidence now exists that the attack actually happened.

I'm not a conspiracy nut, but that is a rather alarming series of coincidences that essentially erased all evidence of the mission from the history books.

Bold is incorrect. Seal Team 6 has multiple teams, 6 to be exact. They are color coded. Red team "killed" OBL. Gold team was the one killed in the helicopter shoot down.

As I see jumping to the "Obama is responsible" card just as about everything you post. I guess you dont know how a bureaucracy works.
I would ask for any proof for what you claim but i know as always no one will get any proof at all.
But then again im guessing you didnt watch the video...

It's amazing how every time someone questions the president all the communist, socialists and progressives come out of the woodwork.

I really doubt that Osama Bin Laden was ever real.

I'm starting to believe we didn't kill OBL at all, but rather a body double - like the same kind Saddam had tons of.

I believe OBL's kidneys failed years ago and he died of natural causes and to keep AQ as a legitimate terrorist organization they needed a OBL look-a-like, which is why he was strung up in that compound for 3 years....

They obviously didn't kill him in the SEAL Team 6 raid(he'd been dead for years)...If they did, they would have been showing pictures and video footage of his corpse 24/7. Bush used him as a boogeyman to justify his continuing wars and Obama took credit for his "killing" to make himself look good.

Here's a 60 Minutes interview with one of the SEALs who was on the raid. He says that he didn't recognize the body as Osama bin Laden.

This might be the dumbest page on the internet.

I seriously doubt they killed him. Everything possible was done after to prevent any possible verification.

I hope you're right. I hope he's spent the last three years with electrodes attached to his genitals. But I fear you are wrong.

Because we have every right to see this mans body.

What gives you the 'right'? Is there some article of the constitution of which I am not aware that gives us the right to see photographs of dead terrorists? And who is the 'we' of which you speak? You aren't speaking for me - or frankly anybody I know.

I have to assume he's being facetious. If he's not...lol

I totally agree. But mind you this conspiracy includes but predates Obama.

Its funny that people still thing it was bin laden that day. If they had actually gotten him they would be parading his body around and selling the photo's to hollywood. They probably just killed some random ****er and called him bin laden.

Video @: CNN: PENTAGON ILLEGALLY DESTROYED PHOTOS OF DEAD OSAMA BIN LADEN - YouTube

Admiral McGraven, "All Photos should be turned over to the CIA, and all should be destroyed". Is this a violation of the law? This does seem ridiculous? Why destroy them? This is not the way the law should be. How many rules were broken with this?
We need to pressure the intelligence community and the Pentagon with this.

I will quote one of the people who commented on the youtube video.

"I killed the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and Santa Clause, but the Groundhog ate all the photos."

I find it kinda funny that the Western populace is slowly becoming as ignorant and a conspiracy-minded as what's commonly considered the most ignorant and paranoid large swath of people in the world: Arabs. I think it's because they just don't spend much time actually learning about the world. Like they love reality TV and football (American or otherwise), and they see the news but don't really understand it. They can't fully grasp these "real" things, so what do they do? They claim it's "fake" in an effort to marginalize it and excuse their lack of understanding it. "Oh that? No, I don't know the difference between Hekmatyar and Massoud, but what does it even matter? It's all made up anyway! Did you know that they didn't even really kill bin Laden!"

Claiming it's not real is a good way to hand wave their ignorance of world matters away. A way to stick their heads in the sand while watching commercials or waiting for Netflix to load. I have no problem with this, but we need to slowly forge a way in which these people don't have a voice in serious matters. It's a shame that some of them vote. Thank god they rarely get into positions of power, though- our only saving grace.

But lol seriously: it's 2014 and people in this thread have been claiming Osama bin Laden never existed or had died long before the raid in Abbottabad! Who are you guys? So ignorant, and I mean that using the actual definition of the word. Just so...uninformed and uneducated. Come on, if you don't know about something, just don't talk about it. I don't go on arguing about the best way to fix a roof or to play cricket or set up lights for a movie, because I don't know. But people will delve into world politics with absolutely no understanding of it. Hilarious.

And then there are those who think they know what's going on from watching TV. Mind balm. Mesmerizing. Ignorance personified. Button pushing. Bought and sold media.

That's who I'm talking about. They watch tv news, claim it's fake, then watch something on youtube or read something on rt or theblaze or something and think they're informed. They're not. They're totally ignorant.

Thats funny that you stick to the polarized extremes only and put your stamp on it. Not really haha funny more huhhuh? funny. I trust a youtube video more than the average news story cuz usually there is a damn video of the topic or event at hand. News will be like, "3 gunmen left the mall. Not sure how many people total were in the mall. Authorities now have all the footage." And you never see any proof from the event again. Just made up some hypothetical crap in qoutes but I think you get the jist.

Yeah preach it brother. The goberment is one trustworthy organization. If they say they are not spying on us then we should believe them.If they say the world is flat and that they **** roses then we should believe them. If they say they are not doing anything wrong then we should believe them. So we should believe them when they say they killed Bin Laden even though there is no photographs or video, even though we got picture of Saddam's sons, video of Saddam's execution, a video of that one dead terrorist who did not know how to operate a m249.

Huh?

Then maybe read something? Why you'd expect to get analysis from either youtube or cable news is beyond me.

lol you think this is about blindly believing the government? Do you read anything? Have you ever read a book about Iraq or Afghanistan? About al Qaeda or counterterrorism or anything? If so, what?

Ignorance isn't terminal, ya know. You guys can...learn stuff...become informed. You could do it if you really wanted to lol.

What gives you the 'right'? Is there some article of the constitution of which I am not aware that gives us the right to see photographs of dead terrorists? And who is the 'we' of which you speak? You aren't speaking for me - or frankly anybody I know.

Why should our tax dollars be used and then we cant even see the results of the mission? Especially when this man is responsible for the murdering of thousands of Americans?
