As I said, peanut butter sandwiches would honor George Washington Carver, which would be a good way to celebrate the contributions of black people to our society, don't you think?
And send a goodly portion of the kids into anaphylactic shock and the emergency room due to peanut allergies. Great idea!
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

Likewise, he wasn't the first. He was just the one who introduced modern Europe to America, which led to the migration of people here.
And as such, he's an important historical figure. But we don't need to teach it that he "found" America which was devoid of human contact before he came along.

I agree with that wholeheartedly. I don't think he's revered as such, except in a 3rd-grade class where it's kind of hard to have such discussions.

Gee, why don't we start accuately protraying how the Indians treated each other? Or would that be revisionist history?
