    Ahh, I see

Now it's ok to pick and choose which laws to enforce as long as they enforce it on everyone

I wonder what the right wing policy will be about this tomorrow?

Nah. The question it seems is which law will Obama choose to enforce tomorrow, and who will the unwitting victim be? I'd bet it'll be some schlub of a GOP donor with assets worth looking at when it comes to fines and penalties. It's that feeling one gets when the state trooper, who has you dead to rights for speeding, decides to take a walk around your car looking at everything, checks your insurance, tags, inspection, wipers, lights, tires, signals, ground clearance, axle weight, and starts looking under the hood for radar detection, any tampering with EPA mandated controls, the type of fuel you're using, the condition of the glass, the integrity of the door locks, personal restraints, the condition of the steering and suspension, brakes, brake lights, exhaust integrity and support, and requires your birth certificate, the condition of your vision and a physical. Just a routine check. You haven't been targeted or anything.

It's absurd to characterize Gibson as "unwitting" when the investigation showed they deliberately broke the law.

And it's hilarious for a right winger to whine about a cop asking to see a birth certificate from a speeder I mean, you do realize that the right supported that policy even if the driver wasn't breaking any traffic laws, don't you?

Pfft. You're probably breaking the law right now, and you just don't know it. You somehow missed the metaphoric connection, which isn't like you most of the time. I think you guys on the left are getting desperate for something - anything to feel good about. So feel good about Gibson. I'm hiding my ebony in a liberal friend's basement.

I got the connection. In both the Gibson case and the speeder, you had law enforcement checking out someone who broke the law.

And if you need a place to stash your Les Paul, you can send it to me.

    No evidence?

Hey everyone, "roughdraft" claims that all the press and media lied when they reported Gibson was raided because he knows it never happened and all was a vast conspiracy by the media and press.

He should go start a thread on the conspiracy forum about this!

I'm hiding my ebony where it'll never, ever be found by the Obama gestapo.

What a big lie. Gibson didn't break any law and the federal court ruled so much.

When it comes to partisan issues all intellectual integrity is tossed out and replaced with outright lying.

    What law did Gibson break?

They didn't just raid the company. They sent an army, totally took over the company and ordered all the employees to leave. From the start there was no even allegation of breaking any USA law nor were they working a foreign country's arrest order nor any evidence any other country requested anything.

    What law did Gibson break?
    the lacy act
    it's in this thread
    gibson forfeited the wood
    gibson paid fines
gibson made contributions to a nonprofit which investigates violations of the lacy act, as part of the company's plea agreement

gibson did negotiate that it could retain the mahogany and ebony woods received from india, which woods are being used to produce this run of guitars

you are the one who is misrepresenting things when you insist gibson did not break the law. gibson paid the fines for its illicit actions
we are negotiating about dividing a pizza and in the meantime israel is eating it
once you're over the hill you begin to pick up speed
