    Yahoo!

In the battle between the hippies and squares, the hippies just won: Texas Gov. Rick Perry supports decriminalizing marijuana.

According to a report at the San Antonio Express-News, Perry made the surprising announcement during a panel on drug legalization at the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

Rick Perry ended any chance he had of going anywhere in Conservative politics when he stated that anyone that wasn't for amnesty had no heart. This was during a presidential debate.

Oddly, Perry still thinks he has some relevance.

Repubs like Perry don't always stay on message, whether it's on pot or amnesty.
He sounds like a governor who has dealt with both issues far too long to be a RW ideologue going forward.
What ever happened to states' rights when the RW doesn't agree with them ?

He's probably very relevant in Texas.

Maybe this explains the memory loss ...

Messages such as that are pointless partisanship. I suppose I should post the appropriate You Tube videos of Obama talking about the 54 United States and his Muslim faith.

Thanks for posting that Joko. I'm glad to hear that, being that I live in Texas. Unfortunately, I expect a good bit of resistance and pressure from the voting population and some of his fellow republicans in Austin.

Y'all do know,at least in Austin, it has been decriminalized. If you are caught with 2 oz. or less, they write you a ticket and keep your pot.

I wouldn't vote for him again, which is moot anyway. Greg Abbot FTW.
