I am still trying to find what part of the constitution actually allows the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to fund this program. If state government wants to do that-that is a different matter

That comes down to Government of a civilized nation doing the right thing, State Federal whatever. Why is it the governments responsibility to provide your home with police and fire protection? Why is it the governments responsibility to provide you with food safety, roads, and a military? No man is an island. We take care of people who are down because someday it might be us that needs it. Are you absolutely sure you won't be hit by a flood next week that will destroy your home and business? Only self centered jerks with no sense of compassion would ask such a question.

It's ****ing peaches and cream for our Government to throw piles of tax payer money to McDonald's and Wal-Mart. But providing canned tomatoes and bread and a few bucks for food items to the disenfranchised and those down on their luck is evil socialism.

McDonald’s received the second-largest government handout. As CEO in 2011 and the first half of 2012, James Skinner pocketed $31 million in exercised stock options and other fully deductible “performance pay.” Incoming CEO Donald Thompson took in $10 million in performance pay in his first six months on the job. Skinner and Thompson’s combined performance pay translates into a $14 million taxpayer subsidy for McDonald’s.

Seems hardly plausible, considering the billions and billions they've served, but then, McDonalds corporate is the head of the franchise, not operating any locations (that I know of), location which are more typically franchised. That might make a difference as to it's tax standing.

Hey, just some educated guesses here. What you got?
