It reveals him to be just another typical politician engaged in political corruption and when he caught, he engages in the same sort of political talk (ie "I take responsibility but I didn't know anything") that every other crooked pol uses to evade responsibility.

In addition, because the bridge closing was such an obvious example of political overreach and abuse of power, the media is now free to dig up every instance in which he has thrown his (political) weight around and use it to reinforce the image of him as corrupt politician.

Now, every deal he has made, every contract his state has awarded, and every endorsement he has received, will be looked into for signs of political favoritism and quid pro quo.
    Exactly...

Sorry, you were quicker to reply than I anticipated, thus I made the second post not realizing that you had already responded to the first post. Brrrrrrrrrrrr...now I've had too much caffeine...

Every politician on the planet is guilty of being hubris.

    Before Bridgegate,

the governor explained the best part of being boss was driving to New York with no gridlock. If last September, you happened to have been stuck in traffic on the Fort Lee side of the George Washington Bridge, fear not: Chris Christie can relate.

Or at least he used to be able to. At least that is what he told a second-grader at a townhall last February.

The tyke asked the gov his favorite part about being governor. His answer?

“When you are governor, they close the Lincoln Tunnel for you. And you get to drive right through. No traffic! It is the best! I love going to New York now. I used to hate it because I would sit in traffic. Now, no traffic. I love it!” ~~~ Daily Beast
The above is the kind of press that comes back to bite Christie in the ass...even though it has nothing to do with his policies, etc.

Now obviously, Christie has a reputation for being over the top in a number of ways. That's intimidating to a lot of people...and his flavor of hubris if often used to label him as a bully.

But since we want to make this about Obama, both republican and democrat can at least agree that his election was historical.

Now can we please leave Obama out of this conversation for once?
We need to get back on topic and discuss Obama. This guys response is hilarious.

Because he's a Republican governor in a true-blue state. Which doesn't happen often.
