What does the NSA use courts for? Those are only after the fact institutions they use to try to claim that their illegal spying and data collection techniques are legal.

Then again Harper seems to give in to those demands.

All of the major players have operations in Canada - just seeing a chunk of this niche moving north because of the NSA actions would be a whole other type of move.
Don't kid yourself, the effective tax rate in the US is hard to determine, too!

We are good at getting rid of those ourselves, thanks.

What safeguards can Canada offer to ensure its not a trick? If it can be demonstrated that PI, will be more secure there, I'd go with the company.

Canada no more harbors terrorists than the US does. Do we have terrorists here? - definitely. Are they given sanctuary here? - what, are you Hillary Clinton now?

Yes that's exactly what they are. Still puzzled that that's debatable.

I could be wrong, but I believe the NSA still needs your FISA court approval for its data mining activities - that's why companies like Google comply.

I'm pretty sure that's not something that's public knowledge but the basis of discussions between the Canadian government and the corporations involved.
