Utah will not recognize same-sex marriages performed before high court stay

Equality under the law... LOL, you're kidding right? How many laws in this nation have organizations been exempt from, heck entire states have been given exemption from national laws, the ACA is a prime example if you need a recent one. :)

Tim-

well the 14th requires equal protection of the law, though as seen with gay marriage, and many other issues,it is never enforced very well.the 14th amendment had included equality under law after the civil war since states tried to count blacks and native americans under different rules.it also made it that all people born in the us were citizens, since many states tried to argue blacks werent citizens reguardless of being first gen slaves or haven been through multiple generations.

despite its original intent,it applies to all people and citizens, and no one can be excluded without due reason.however it has been poorly enforced.which is also why i distrust most court rulings,as they tend to be politically motivated not legally or constitutonally in many cases.an example is segregation and different laws uphelf in some areas over a century after the 14th amendment, despite the fact its an amendment not a law, therefore it is part of the constitution and cant be challenged like a law.

Your opinion on the constitutionality is an opinion.

Marriage never meant gay.
No, the courts opinion in several cases.

The second part is your opinion.
