Gates - Obama Fed Propaganda

Evidently you don't read those words that contradict your deeply held beliefs, here the words are again - a bit larger this time

In his final chapter, Mr. Gates makes clear his verdict on the president’s overall Afghan strategy: “I believe Obama was right in each of these decisions.”

Obama didn't believe in his own strategy. What part of that don't you understand?

Even a blind hog finds an acorn, from time to time.

However, there's something seriously wrong when a CIC sends troops onto the battlefield, using a strategy that he doesn't believe will be successful; especially when it's HIS strategy.

You think that's good information for gates to be putting out there for the people we're fighting in A-Stan to hear. Think that might strengthen their resolve. Would you be complaining if someone had done this to Bush? And furthermore, just because Gates claims this, does that make it true. I realise it makes it easier to believe when it's just what you want to hear, but, I'm just asking.

Their resolve has been made rock solid, since they've figured out that Obama is a puss and that he doesn't have the balls to launch any kind of offensive. They've seen his performance in the Syria deal. Obama is the last cat in the world that anyone is afraid of.

Um, because Gates said so, in his book.

Let me guess: "Gates is a liar!"..."oh, and a racist!"

Who knows if Gates is being truthful or not. You have no criticism of him for coming out with this book and disclosing his feelings while Obama is still in the White House? What about the potential risk to troops there. And why wasn't Gates singing while this was going on, when something might have been done about it?

Oh, you think he's a puss for not attacking another sovereign nation that hadn't attacked us first? I think Bush was a puss for attacking a sovereign nation that hadn't attacked us. More like something a punk would do.

Of course any criticism of Obama must be a lie...LOL!!!

The book was ready to hit the streets before the election and Gates held it.

What about the potential risk to troops there.

We're pulling out. Remember? Besides, I doubt Gates' book will make the enemy hate us more.

And why wasn't Gates singing while this was going on, when something might have been done about it?

Because of those little things called, loyalty, duty and honor.

No. He LOOKS like a puss, because he made a threat, then backed off; made another threat, then back off of that one; then made another threat, and backed off that one, too.

He knew he wasn't going to hold Syria to any deadline and because of that he should have never made the threat.

A punk talks a buncha bull**** and is afraid to back it up.

About 30 months ago the opportunity existed for a safe, cheap strategic victory in Syria with important and positive consequences. All we had to do was help people who begged to be our friends. BHO flinched and that opportunity is now gone.:peace

He wasn't ALLOWED to do anything in Syria. He was first stopped by Russia and China at the UN, then he lost the support of the British and 70% of Americans were steadfastly against it. So, I ask you again, what should/could he have done, been a belligerent?

He could have kept his stupid ass mouth shut, because he KNEW he wasn't going to do anything, to begin with.

Helped them how? It is not our duty or responsibility to be engaging in the overthrow of other countries governments, much as we have so often in the past including as recent as Libya and the abuse of the UN resolution there. You must understand, Russia and China are both quite fed up with US wars of aggression, and they are pushing back, BIG TIME. Also, see post 36

Well, get on twitter and let him know.

can't disagree, it wasn't the US shining moment in the region.
Then again we have had a lot of sullied moments/times there.

Obama stumbled into the correct course of non-action (what could we do, we did try to arm the FSA, but - diversion problems at minimum)
As the saying goes, even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

Well, get on twitter and let him know.

He's a legend in his own mind. I think the silly sum-bitch actually thought Assad would jump, just because he said jump.

I told you, he wasn't afraid, he was denied the fight. Get over that, be thankful, probably saved some lives. If you want a legitimate criticism of Obama where Syria is concerned, criticise him for supporting terrorists in the country that aren't just fighting to overthrow president Assad, but are killing Christians and destroying their churches, too!

He was skeered ****less! :lamo

No he didn't. What he wasn't expecting was opposition from the Russians and the Chinese. He wasn't expecting Britain to bail on him, and the American people, don't forget that!

Thirty months ago no one else was playing and very modest help to the liberal democratic Syrian opposition would have installed a friendly regime and cut off Iran's reach into the Middle East, undermining Hezbollah in the process. It was an historic opportunity wasted.:peace

They were getting that "modest help" covertly.
